"Anyone has any questions for me?" Wei Wuxian's gaze trailed around the room as he observed his students unwavering attention on him. With a warm smile he closed the book when a young petite girl raised her hand.

"Yes Ms. Kinamoto?"

"Professor Wei, you have taught us the beauty and love of French Literature. But we all have been meaning to ask you about your very own love story. Could you tell us?"

"Yes Professor Wei!" Another student from last row jumped up. "We also heard today is your wedding anniversary! Please share with us your story."

"Yes! Please Professor Wei..."

At the chorus of varied pleas, Wei Wuxian chuckled and sighed as he partially leaned against the table and amused himself at the sight of rapt attention he received from the youngsters. "I just wish you all showed this much interest in your schoolwork than my life."

Hearing few groans, Wei Wuxian raised his hand as an act of surrender and shared the tale he knew brought utmost peace to those who heard.

"Lan Wangji and I were acquainted with eachother back when we were merely sixteen years old."

"Sixteen? Were you childhood sweethearts?" A young girl fawned over the thought and Wei Wuxian sadly had to shake his head.

"No we weren't. Quite contrary to popular beliefs, in reality we regarded eachother as competitors. Lan Wangji was a jock and I, a science nerd."

Just then another student raised his hand. "Professor, you were a science nerd? Then how did you land up teaching French Literature?"

"All your questions will be answered if you just hear my story with patience." Wei Wuxian chided his students good-naturedly.

"Sorry Professor..."

With a nod Wei Wuxian continued his story, "Lan Wangji's favourite sport was soccer. He loved playing on field. Though he was always the centre of attention, Lan Wangji hated to be in crowded places. One would always find him alone and aloof. He was an enigma that no one could solve or befriend.

"I, on the other hand prefered to be a prankster." Just as Wei Wuxian stated this fact, he looked around and challenged the youngsters in front of him. "Remember, never play mischief with me. You'll get back what you sow."

He heard the desired laughter ringing around the room and continued back to his story.

"As a science student; I was always staying back late in the library, reading every book I could lay my hands on. One such night, there was no one or so I thought. Just when I was about to leave, a dim glow of the light in a corner caught my eyes and it surprised me to no extent when it was none other than Lan Wangji who was sitting and reading a book there.

"Curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to creep behind him and scare his life away. But I couldn't."

"Why not?" The question was whispered by Ms. Kinamoto.

"Because he was so immersed in reading and above all looked really handsome."

Few giggles were heard and Wei Ying thought back to the time when he has successfully discovered another part to his Lan Zhan which no one knew about.

"That night I waited for him to leave and once he did; I traced my steps and reached out to the book he was reading. To my surprise, it wasn't a sports related book but it was French Literature."

"So it was your husband who got you interested in French Literature!" At Ms. Mei's deduction; Wei Wuxian nodded with pride.

"Yes. It wasn't a popular book but rather a sweet romantic novel. Luckily for me it was a translated version. From then on I always stalked Lan Wangji after library hours and read all those books he read."
