Y/N POV
"Bye mom!" My mother smiled and bid goodbye to me as I shut the door. I grabbed my bike to hang out with my friends, Annie, Hange, Ymir, Historia, and Sasha. We had planned to go out this morning to study for an upcoming test at this coffee shop. It wasn't that far from here.

I felt the breeze hit my skin. The gentle wind made my hair flow behind me. It's the little things like this that make me smile. Breath of wind, the sound of laughter from children, the smell of flowers-- coming from the flower shops--, fresh bread, the slight scent of citrus. It was surreal.

Shortly after, I arrived at the coffee shop. Coffee District. I left my bike by the bike bollards and set foot in the shop. As I was looking around for my friends, a lady approached me. I presume she worked here. "Hello, ma'am. May I help you with anything?" I nodded. "Yes. I'm looking for a girl named 'Annie Leonhart'? I believe she made a reservation here."

"Ah yes. Ms. Annie. She's right here; follow me." She escorted me to their table. It was in the back garden. It had a concrete pathway, leading to a black gate door. And next to it was a leaf wall with climbing vines and pink flowers. The inside had a wishing well; and there I saw my friends. Sitting in a luxury gazebo.

Sasha was eating 4 donuts with a cup of milk, Ymir and Historia shared sugar cookies, Hange had tea, and for Annie, as per usual, nothing. I had told my order to the waitress, who recently told me her name: Giselle, my order. I approached them with my backpack slung on my back. "Hey, guys." I greeted them with a warm smile as they returned it back.

"Hey, Y/N. We're reviewing Math right now." Sasha said poorly with a mouthful of donuts. "Hm. I just can't get this one question right. It's 2 days before the test. I have to ace this, or else my mom won't let me see Historia for an entire month!" Ymir cried out loud. "Ymir, it's okay! I know you'll pass. You just have to believe you can."

Historia lifted her chin and forced a smile on Ymir's lips with her thumbs. "Anything to be with you, Historia! Marry me once this is over, okay?" They both nodded. How I wish someone could love me like this. Sure, I had mom. But I mean romantically. It was cute how couples could cheer each other up. They had some sort of magic that I would never get to experience.

I sighed, "Okay, we have to review this entire day." Hange agreed, whilst Sasha had a sorrowful look. "Y/N, the whole day?!" I nodded. "Yes. Is there a problem with that?"

Sasha looked at everyone, gesturing to speak. No one spoke up, hence Sasha to state it. "Come on. Can't we have a break?" I put a puzzled face on. "Sasha, the midterms are coming. You don't wanna fail do you?" She shook her head, "But--" She raised a finger. "The brain functions best when taking a 20 minute break. Helps absorb information." She was right.

I read that in an article. We exchanged looks, waiting for someone to say their own thoughts. I decided to talk. "Fine."

The morning went by fast. Soon, we found ourselves sitting in the same area, only this time, it was 4 o'clock. The time we spent was mostly reviewing Math and Science.

EREN POV
"Armin, I'm gonna take a leak." Armin nodded and told Mikasa. I went into the bathroom and immediately heard footsteps approaching. I swiftly locked the door and yelled, "It's taken!" but I heard no response. Shortly, I heard the faucet turn on and the sound of running water. I let out a relieved sigh.

After finishing, I exited the bathroom, to be greeted by this girl washing her hands.

Woah.

She's... fetching. Long hair, and a daisy-printed dress that fit her form perfectly. She hummed a song that was unfamiliar to me. Who is this woman? I thought

"Hm. Is there something on my face that I can't see in the mirror?" She chuckled, breaking my train of thought. "Ah-- uhm, no. I'll uh,-- I'll get going now." I stammered. She smiled and nodded in return. While leaving, I heard a faint "Have a good day, mister." I suppose it was from the girl. I know it hasn't been a day, but she was interesting.

I sat down and replayed what I had just encountered back there. "Something on your mind, Eren?" Armin put a hand on my shoulder. "Hm? No. I'm just wondering why their toilets reek." I lied. "Seems to be more than just that," He lifted an eyebrow, "but okay. Anyways, Jean, what did you need help with?" He trailed off.

Y/N POV
"See you guys tomorrow! We can go shopping tomorrow as a reward for today if you'd like!" I was given a thumbs up from all of them. It was already 7 o'clock. And I had to be home at 8 to have dinner with my mom. "Sounds good! See you, Y/N!" Hange waved. I rode my bike all the way back home.

"Hi mom!" I was greeted with a hug. "Let's eat shall we?" We started eating. "Hon, tell me about your day." I swallowed my food. "Hm. It was good. I had a hard time solving math equations. And I ate biscuits. I also met a boy. That's pretty much it." My mom smirked. "I see. Was this 'boy' cute?" There's mom for you. "Mom, I don't know him! He's some rando. Let's just eat."
