After a while, madara returns to konoha and proclaims himself hokage but, tobirama disagreed and attacked to avenge his brother but lost and died. As he was dying, madara said to him "this is for izuna.''
Fun fact: madara didn't care about konoha but he believed it could be used to execute his plan.
