The clouds were a gloomy gray color, allowing no light to shine through. It was pouring as it had never rained before, as if the beings from above were weeping in agony and wishing to drown any and all mortals on the planet.

On the streets, there were few people to be seen, and those who were there had either a meeting or wanted to get home as soon as possible.

The city used to be vibrant, but it now resembled a drab, bleak photograph from the past. The major focus of our investigation is an 11-story structure with numerous windows. Because of its sheer size, it could possibly be called a skyscaper.

On the 10th floor, you could hear two people yelling at each other, their voices filled with sorrow, grief, and a variety of other horrible feelings.

"Shut up!" One person complained, their voice irritated.

"I can't believe you would to this to me. After everything I've done for you?!"

"Stop talking about this, you're acting childish!!" Blake screamed, having had it with Kyle's nonsense.

Kyle's disbelief had just begun. Him? Acting childish? Isn't that how Blake is behaving as well? Why is it only fucking him?

"Listen here, Blake. You don't have the authority to order me to fucking shut up, okay? You abandoned me in favor of HER. My best fucking friend! You were even aware of how much I loved you!" He screamed angrily.

It was silent for a few second before a sigh resounded in the dead quiet room.

"Okay Kyle, sort yourself out first before we continue to talk. Or else I can't guarantee that I will continue to be this fucking nice to you, alright?"

As soon as those words left Blakes mouth, Kyle felt tears coming, sadness making his throat clog up, making him unable to speak for what felt like a minute.

"You....could have just told me you loved her back then. That you loved her more than you could ever love me, you know? Instead of betraying me."

"Stop talking to me, Kyle"

"NO BECAUSE WHY COULD YOU LOVE HER BUT NOT ME? SHE'S NOT BETTER THAN ME! WHAT DOES SHE HAVE THAT I DON'T!?"

"SHUT UP!"

A loud slap resounded in the room. Kyle stood there frozen, hand on his left cheek. Blake just slapped me? Why?
The emotions visible on Blake's face were anger, sadness and a sort of realization.

"Please leave before we wake up with more regrets than we already have, Kyle. I can't bear looking at you any longer", were the words Blake spoke as they lowered their hand.

'This....was a bad joke, right? They can't stand the sight of me anymore? Do they hate me?'
Were the thoughts going through Kyle's head at that moment, trying not to start crying at his ex crush's and best friends words.

At that Moment Kyle realised something. He realised that he loved someone who could truly, never love him back no matter what.
That he was never their number one, hell he might not even be their number two or three.
He finally let his tears flow down, raising his head to look Blake straight in the eyes, although having to lift his head a bit higher to meet their eyes. He whispered
