I sigh as I pick up the mess that my friends the jocks and I made. The goths and preps are all yelling at me saying that this is all my fault.
"Actually Jackson started all this Elena was just defending Mordecai." Robert says defending me.
"Whatever." Tyler one of the goths says clearly annoyed. After we got done cleaning up the cafeteria we all head to our next period class me tagging along behind my friends. Then I was brutally stopped. I look up to see Sarafina, Anna, and Ashley. Sarafina has blonde locks and hazel eyes while Anna has red hair with green eyes and Ashley has brown hair and eyes.
"You know that this whole thing was your fault right the only reason why Robert stood up for you was because he's dating Stephanie." Sarafina says. Her goons smirking at me.
"Well then I should just be thankful he helped me shouldn't I." I glare at her along with Anna and Ashley.
"Just thought I should warn you that your group of so called friends are going to push you down once they see how pathetic and worthless you are."
"Well then I'll just have to be there to pick her up." I turn to see Edgar glaring at Stephanie and her little goons. She shrinks back probably frightened of the vicious aura surrounding Edgar. She nods to her goons to leave and they all three retreat out of the doorway.
"Thanks." I say smiling at Edgar his cheeks go red. I blink. Does he have a fever? I walk up to him and place my hand on his head.
"Do you feel okay? Your cheeks are really red." At this his face turns a even deeper red. Man... His fever must be high.
"No I-I'm fine." He mumbles. I take my hand off his forehead and his face cools down some. Then Romaine is standing beside me.
"Ah!" I yell.
From my shock I lose my balance and fall into Edgar. Well this is embarrassing... If I was home this wouldn't of happened. I feel like Dorthy from the wizard of Oz there's no place like home. I push myself off of Edgar and stand up straight.
"Sorry." I say apologizing to Edgar.
"What the heck dude!" I yell at Romaine throwing my hands up in the air.
"How did you get there?!" I ask astounded.
"Just like you with a series of gestures and movements." He says smiling down at me and glaring over at Edgar.
"Huh? Interview with a vampire?" At that he stiffens.
"What?" He asks.
"It's a book. Interview with a vampire."
"Oh okay." He says relaxing a bit. What was that all about?
"So your the new kid right?" Edgar asks.
"Yeah what's it to you?" He replys back.
"So what held you up?" Romaine asks.
"Oh Sarafina..."
"Who?"
"Oh yeah your still new here. Well she's a girl..."
"Nice description you learn a lot from a person's gender." He says sarcastically. I roll my eyes.
"Your an Ostriche!" I yell at him.
"What?!" Edgar and Romaine say in unison.
"I don't like Ostriches there mean and evil!" I yell. Edgar bursts out laughing whil Romaine chuckles.
"What are you two laughing at?" I ask already knowing the answer.
"You." Edgar says in between laughs.
"There evil!" I yell throwing my hands up dramatically.
"How so?" Romaine asks raising his eyebrows. Really! I think he's mocking me since he knows I can't do that.
"They are big ugly birds that run people over!" They both blink at my comment.
"What?" Edgar asks.
"Oh nothing it doesn't matter anyway!" Well to me it does... Then all the sudden the bell rings. I jump and bump into Romaine.
"Stupid bell!" I grumble.
"Are you afraid of bells too?" Romaine asks smirking. I stick my tongue out at him. Then it hit me.
"Oh shoot were late for class!" I shout my eyes going wide.
"Don't worry it's P.E Coach Garroway is always late." Edgar says. Edgar, Stephanie, Robert, Mordecai, Devin, Thomas, and I have P.E together and last time I looked at Romaine's schedule he has P.E next too.
"Don't you have P.E next Romaine?" He nods his head.
"Well we should go before we are later than Coach Garroway." I say. We all three head out to the gymnasium.
"Is that even possible?" Edgar asks. I shrug.
"So... Edgar can I call you Ed for short?" I ask.
"Sure." He says stuffing his hands into his pockets. Romaine glares at Ed.
"Aw do you want a nickname to?! I'll call you Ro Ro. How's that?" I hear Ed laugh from beside me.
"No thanks I perfer my original name if you don't mind." He responds.
"I don't mind as long as it annoys you." Romaine... Or Ro Ro rolls his eyes. I smile. We walk into the gym and much to our surprise and my anguish Mr. Garroway was already there.
"Well I'm surprised that your late Ms. Darkwood. You three managed to be later then me. Anyway it doesn't really matter since your not graded in this class. So if any one needs me I'll be in my office... Not sleeping of course."
Yeah right. After the coach left I was tackled by an unknown source.
"Ah!" I yell falling on my stomach.
"Sorry." A voice whispers in my ear.
"Robert get off her! Your going to squish her to death." Stephanie yells at her boyfriend.
"Yeah get off me dude!" I yell flailing around from under him.
"Alright alright I'm not fat I won't squish the life out of her." Robert says. He slowly gets off me almost reluctantly. Stephanie helps me to my feet.
"So what took you so long?" She asks glancing between Ed and Romaine suspiciously.
"Actually I was about to ask why you all didn't wait for me." I say.
"Sorry we thought you were behind us the whole time until we got into the gym." She says.
"So what were you doing with forest boy and Romaine?" Robert asks eyeing them.
"They were smooching smoochie smooch." Mordecai says. I blush a deep crimson.
"No we weren't!" I yell at him.
"Kissing two guys... How complicated your relationship is." I send him a death glare. All he does to respond is smirk.
"I'm going to burn you alive were your eyeballs explode!" I yell balling my fists up.
"That's disgusting. Blah!" Mordecai says sticking his tongue out in disgust.
"Mordecai you Ostrich!" I start to chase him around the entire gymnasium.
"Robert, Devin, Thomas anybody help!" Mordecai screeches. Every one laughs at the scene in front of them. I the finally stop chasing after Mordecai.
"Why are you so scared of Ostriches?" Ed asks. I see Stephanie look over at me concern etched out on her face. She was the only one besides my dad that knew.
"There evil." I say.
"O-kay." He says looking slightly confused.
"Man I'm ready to go home!" My friends nod in agreement.
"Same here." Devin says.
"Yeah I'm starving!" Thomas shouts.
"We just got back from lunch." Stephanie says.
"Your point is?"
"Your a pig."
"Uh I look nothing like Jackson." I start to giggle at his comment. He smiles over at me.
"Well we just have this period then its home sweet home!" I say punching my fists into the air.
"Wow you ethusiastic." Romaine says.
"You think thats ethusiastic you should see her when she eats sweets. She goes nuts!" Stephanie says.
"I'm not that bad." I say folding my arms over my chest.
"Do I need to remind you that it took all of us and then Coach Garroway just to take you to the office were you could cool down." Mordecai says.
"That's just because your all weak." I say. They all look at me like I'm crazy.
"Oh whatever!" I yell throwing my hands up.
"All the single ladies all the single ladies put you hands up!" Stephanie sings throwing her hands up. I roll my eyes dropping my hands I might be single but I'm definitely not doing that.
"Oh wait I'm not single I can't do that... I'm so stupid." She says letting her hands fall.
"I agree!" Devin yells. Devin and Stephanie don't really get along ever since kindergarten when he stole her juice box... And my cookies! Little thief! Of course I forgave him... Not like I beat him up or anything. I'm an angel!
"Oh no dude controll you girlfriend!" Devin yells at Robert when Stephanie started chasing him around the gym. Man... Deja vu much?
"Sorry I don't control her!" Robert shouts over to Devin. I laugh at them and then catch a movement out of the corner of my eye. I turn to see Romaine going behind the bleachers. This could be interesting. I walk over to were I saw him disappear at and stick my head in. I see Romaine leaning against a wall with his eyes closed.
"You need something?" He asks unexpectedly. He opens his eyes his black orbs meeting with my blue ones. I shake my head.
"No just came to see what you were doing." I say.
"I was trying to get away from all the noise your friends are loud." I nod my head in agreement. Wait what am I doing I should be defending them.
"There not that loud... Well other then Mordecai that is."
"Well thats what you hear because you and I hear at a different scale since my hearing is intensified." I blink at him.
"So what your saying is that your hearing is greater then mine?"
"Yes." He replys.
"How so?"
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"Try me." I say not backing down.
"Fine. When I was younger I went deaf. So the doctors put molecular devices into my ear so my hearing will intensify were I hear better than an average person." He answers.
"What no way?!" I yell incredulous.
"Didn't I tell you that you wouldn't believe me." He says.
"I would have believed you more if you said you were a werewolf." He wrinkles his nose up and I have to admit he looked pretty cute doing it... Wait what am I saying?! This is Romaine were talking about here.
"Werewolves are stupid flea ridden human mutts." He says in distaste.
"Is that so?" Comes a voice from behind me.
