Madeline's suitcase lay beside Pansy's, perfectly packed with everything neatly folded. Madeline could be a bit of a neat freak when she was stressed. Pansy always knew how she was feeling based on how clean their room was. If it was perfect that meant Adeline was so stressed that if she saw one sock out of place she might implode and when Madeline imploded windows tended to do the same.

She sat on her bed glaring at her suitcase, maybe if her suitcase blew up she wouldn't have to go home.

"What are you doing?" Pansy asked interrupting her thoughts with a harsh glare.

"Saving us from eternal damnation." Madeline sighed dramatically, she turned her head to smile at Pansy and Pansy scoffed playfully.

"Come on, Lucius is coming for us." Pansy grabbed the two bags.

"Why is he coming? I thought we were getting the train?" Madeline didn't even attempt to hide her burning hatred of Lucius.

"They want us back now. Come on." Pansy stood at the edge of Maddie's bed.

"I fail to see how going home a couple of days early will help." Pansy knew she was stalling but she also knew that as hard as this was for her it was harder for Madeline.

"Have you said goodbye yet?" She asked carefully, when it came to Madeline's Gryffindor friends she was very protective.

"Technically, yes." When Madeline said technically it meant the next words out of my mouth are a twisted version of the truth. Pansy's glare made Madeline rephrase. "I did yesterday."

"What did you say?" Pansy sighed.

"That we would be leaving early," Madeline said in a bored tone. Pansy slapped her arm and the girl yelped. "What the hell was that for?"

"We'll be leaving early." Pansy mocked. "What kind of goodbye is that? You might not see them the whole of summer." Pansy exhaled loudly holding the bridge of her nose. "Listen M, your gonna regret not saying goodbye."

Madeline only glared at her in response. She couldn't say goodbye, if she did she would never leave. What she was about to do went completely against everything she believed in but she wouldn't put herself before her sister. She knew if she truly said goodbye they would convince her to stay.

Madeline groaned dramatically before launching herself off the bed and swiftly following Pansy.

"Come on my father is waiting on us," Draco told them all grabbing one of the two suitcases out of Pansy's hands.

None of them said a word as they walked through the school. Madeline had said goodbye to Harry, Ron and Hermione already, well she kept telling herself she had. The walk through the school was her practice for putting barriers around her thoughts. Her face started to tighten and her usual emotional face has replaced with a stone facade.

They stopped right outside the school. The light summer air giving them some comfort.

Madeline could barely contain a snarl as she saw the sun bounce off Lucius's yellow hair. She despised him. She rarely used the word hate, she believed it was a tad strong. But he was a special kind of hate. She wished for his death every time Draco Malfoy was reduced to tears in her arms. Every time she had to prepare a sleeping draught just to force him into a state of sleep. Every time she saw a slight change in Draco's personality.

"Are we ready to go children?" Draco stood up straighter as he heard Lucius speak.

"Yes," Blaize replied shortly.

"Let's go before one of your teachers appear. Take my hands were appearating." Draco took one hand and Blaize the other, they all joined hands and Madeline closed her eyes preparing herself for the sickening spinning that was about to take place in her stomach. "Miss Parkinson, if this time you could refrain from vomiting on my shoes it would be greatly appreciated." Lucius drawled.
