Another Visit From Nezu? | Chapter 38

"Speaking" 'Thinking'

All throughout the night, that stare never left Izumi's body. Izumi had a hard time getting any actual rest, always scared that the one behind the stare may try to break in and take one of the girls. Of course, the person behind the stare was definitely under her influence so the idea of them taking the girls and having nothing to do with her was a little questionable.

The four laid in bed until an alarm sounded. Specifically an alarm clock on the opposite side of the bed where Aizawa is sleeping. Izumi wanted to get up quickly to make breakfast for the man before he had to head off towards the school, but a little fox girl had turned her body around and held Izumi in a tight little hug, making it almost impossible to move without waking the girl.

Aizawa started to stir awake. As he opened his eyes he realized quickly that he was holding onto Eri. He looked down at the little girl as she opened one of her eyes groggily. She yawned an adorable little yawn and reached up and hugged Aizawa with a sleepy smile on her face. 

Aizawa smiled at the girl then looked over towards the other side of the bed. He was only expecting to see Izumi, but instead found a little fox girl wrapped in the woman's arms. The smaller girl was still fast asleep, she had little white fox ears on the top of her head and four large tails wrapped around Izumi's legs.

Aizawa's face went from a smile to confusion in a matter of seconds at the sight of the girl. How did she manage to pick up a stray in just a few hours. Aizawa went to get out of bed, but was met with resistance from Eri as she whined about leaving the warm covers.

At the whining of the little girl Aizawa noticed Izumi slightly turn her head over to them. She held a smile on her face as she watched Eri grumble. Aizawa simply placed the girl next to her mother and went to get up. Leaving the three in bed and running off to the bathroom to take a shower.

Izumi was stuck in between two little girls, completely unsure as to how she was going to get out of the tight hold of Jiu and not squish Eri if she tried to turn over. Instead of struggling, she simply sighed and tapped Jiu on the nose. 

Jiu's nose twitched with each little tap, she crept one eye open and realized where she was. She was sure that it was all just a dream, that she'd end up waking up on the streets with rats surrounding her to keep her from catching a cold. She opened her other eye and looked up at the woman with the same loving eyes as she had given her the previous night. 

"Wake up, it's time to get up. I've gotta get breakfast started before Aizawa decides to run away." Izumi told the girl as she slightly flicked the girl's forehead. Jiu whined about having to leave her mother's arms, but willing let her go and got up from the bed. 

Jiu looked around the room once again, noticing that the man that was in the bed earlier was no where to be seen. She looked towards Izumi with a questioning look and Izumi pointed towards the bathroom.

Jiu smiled and was about to barge into the bathroom until Eri ran over and grabbed onto Jiu's shorts. 

"Wah!" Jiu shreiked as she almost fell over from the tug. "What?" She questioned when she looked down to the girl. Eri shook her head as she pointed towards the door to the bathroom.

"You can't go in there, Mr. Aizawa's in there right now." Eri whispered to the girl in an effort to make the girl stop. Jiu was confused but nodded her head and plopped down on the ground right in front of Eri.

"So, your name is Eri, right?" Jiu asked with a smile. Eri nodded at the girl's question. "Well, Eri. It would seem, that I'm now your big sister." Jiu told the little girl as she grinned from ear to ear.

Eri was slightly confused at the girl and looked over to Izumi with wide eyes. Izumi nodded at her and gave her a smile just like Jiu's.

Eri practically screamed in excitement. Apparently startling Aizawa as a semi loud noise came from the bathroom. Izumi assumed that he dropped something.

Izumi laughed at the noise, then started walking over towards the two girl's. "Okay, I'm gonna get your clothes ready, you two, go down stairs and wash up. After that I'm gonna cook some breakfast and we have to get over to the cafe." Izumi told the two. Jiu looked up at the woman slightly confused. 

"Why a cafe?" Jiu asked.

"Momma works there. It's so much fun!" Eri told the girl as she ran over towards her mother and hugged her legs. Eri ran back over towards Jiu and grabbed a hold of her hand. Before Jiu could ask another question, Eri started dragging the girl down the stairs and to the other bathroom.

Izumi sighed at Eri's excitement. The fact that she so easily excepted getting a big sister too. Izumi shrugged, then looked through her clothes. Trying to find anything that would fit Jiu's small frame. She sighed yet again at the idea of having to go on yet another shopping trip.

She found another pair of shorts and a little hoodie, along with grabbing a red dress for Eri. Izumi walked down stairs and placed the sets of clothes down on the sink in the bathroom. Eri was laughing and messing around with Jiu's tails and Jiu was just smiling as she washed Eri's and her hair.

Izumi chuckled at the two, then walked out of the bathroom and walked towards the kitchen. She quickly got to making a pot of coffee for Aizawa and her, then started on making breakfast. As she cooked the meal for the four of them there was a knock on the front door. Izumi paused her actions and was slightly concerned. 

She just realized something. The one that was staring at her all night, was no longer there. Izumi gulped as she wiped off her hands. She slowly made her way over towards the door, looking through the peek hole and sighed. Through the little glass in the door, Izumi saw the skeleton man, another words known as Toshinori.

Izumi opened the door and was once again startled by her new boss's voice. 

"Izumi! I heard from the lovely land lord downstairs that you've managed to find yourself another child." Nezu asked with one of his signature smiles. Izumi couldn't tell if he was slightly angry, or if he was just curious.

"Daddy!" Eri yelled at the top of her lungs as she ran towards the man and tackled him in a hug. Nezu quickly hugged the girl back with a fatherly like smile on his face. "Hello Eri, how are you doing today?

"Hello Eri, how are you doing today?" Nezu asked the girl.

"Good! Mommy's taking us to the cafe today." Eri told the man. 

"Oh Daddy, you have to meet Jiu, she's my big sister!" Eri told the man excitedly. Nezu chuckled at the girl's excitement. He looked up towards Izumi and found a smaller fox girl holding onto her arm looking down at them.

"Ah, I assume that you're Jiu?" Nezu asked. Jiu slightly hid further behind Izumi but answered the man with a nod. Izumi leaned over towards Jiu and whispered in her ear. 

"Jiu, this man is taking care of us. He's practically Eri's father, which now makes him yours too." Izumi told the girl. Jiu looked up towards Izumi in slight shock. She nodded her head at the woman and slightly took a step out from behind Izumi.

"H- Hello..." Jiu spoke. She was too used to her old father hitting her and her mother. The thought of having another father concerned her. She didn't want Izumi to through the same thing. Because of her old father, her other mother started to hate her too, saying that it was all her fault that her father was like that.

Izumi placed a hand on Jiu's shoulder. Jiu looked up at the woman, she didn't know what to do. She looked down towards the man that was apparently going to be her new father. 

"There's no need to worry, you don't have to call me dad or anything. Eri just sees me as her father figure." Nezu told the girl with a smile. Jiu was hesitant, she still didn't know what to say to the man. Instead of speaking, Jiu simply nodded her head again. 

"Any way, Eri tells me that you're heading towards the cafe? Mind if we tag along. Nezu asked, implying that Toshinori, who had been staying quiet this entire time, would be coming along too.

Izumi sighed. "Do what ever you want. I just thought that it would be a good time to introduce the girl's to Aoi." Izumi told the man.
