Who are you?

Meanwhile (in the Republic of Hanguk):

Hope was too startled and shocked upon hearing the news. It was too much for him to digest. Due to the sudden shock, J-hope fainted. Y/n ran to the living room after hearing a loud thud. She saw an unconscious J-hope lying on the floor. She immediately ran up to him and put his head on her lap. Tears started to roll down her eyes. Y/n quickly brought a glass of water and sprinkled it on Hope's face. Soon he started to gain consciousness.

Now, J-hope knew that he was in a different world and what this girl said might be true. He was so agitated about everything happening, he got up and ran out of the house. He went back to the same forest from where all this mess started. But what can he even do now? He probably doesn't know how to go back. He doesn't even know how all of this happened. J-hope doesn't know a soul here. Where he is, he can't even get rescued. He was struck in a place from which there was no escape.

On the other hand, y/n followed where J-hope was going. She furrowed her eyebrows seeing Hope enter the forest.

He walked and walked but didn't seem to find the tunnel through which he thought he came here. He was scared, devastated, and hopeless. J-hope broke down into tears. Y/n saw him sitting on the while small sobs left his mouth. She ran up to him and hugged him tightly. J-hope also didn't push her away this time. He wanted to lean onto someone. He wasn't used to handling these situations alone.

Time skip ( at Hoseok's house) :

Y/n made J-hope sit on the couch and went to fetch some water. Hope didn't know what to say. If he told y/n that he wasn't her Hobi or whatever his name was, how would she react? Would y/n believe him?

Shrugging all these questions, J-hope decided to confront y/n. She came back with the glass and seated herself next to J-hope. With some courage, Hope said "Umm.... Listen here lady! I have something to tell you" y/n was taken aback when Hope addressed her as 'lady' and not the sweet nicknames he always said. But shrugging away from the negative thoughts, she said "Go on, I'm listening. What is it that you want to tell me?"

"Will you believe what I'll tell you?" He asked whilst his voice cracked a little. "Of course, come on, what is it?" She said in an annoyed tone. "So the thing is... I'm not your Hobi or whatever, I'm J-hope. I know that earlier I told you that all of this was a prank, but it's the truth. I don't belong here. I'm from a different world, and I found this a while ago." He said in one go.

Y/n was too surprised by the new information provided to her. She couldn't believe that the person sitting in front of her wasn't her fiancé she loved so much. She wanted to confirm first before jumping to a conclusion. The real Hoseok had a mole on his left shoulder.

So without thinking much y/n went close to Hope and started unbuttoning his shirt. J-hope was quite taken aback with y/n's actions. " w-what are you trying to do right here?" he stuttered. y/n realized what she was doing and the position they were in. "I-i'm s-sorry. I didn't mean to unbutton your shirt without your consent. I just wanted to verify something" she said in an embarrassed tone. Hope knew that y/n didn't have any ulterior motive but still he felt something funny in his stomach when she came near him. He felt ticklish. " What is it that you want to verify?" he asked. " The real Hoseok has a mole on his left shoulder. It might sound weird but I still don't believe that you are not Hobi. So before deciding anything I just wanted to check" she said honestly. J-hope understood the things she might be feeling and it was right of her to not believe him. Even he didn't at first believe what was happening with him. So he opened the first three buttons of his shirt and slid it backwards so that y/n could see his left shoulder clearly.

Since he wasn't Hoseok, there wasn't any sign of the mentioned mole.

Y/n's mind went blank. Her world came crashing down. If the person sitting in front wasn't Hoseok, then where was he? Why hasn't he returned back from his lab? Where did Hoseok disappear to? Y/n's mind was filled with negative thoughts which caused her to break down again.

When y/n started crying, J-hope didn't know how to comfort her. He didn't even know her, so how was he supposed to comfort her? "Y/n, I know this is hard for you but can you please stop crying? Please" he tried to sound trustworthy. "W-what am I e-even supposed to do now? I don't even know w-whether my Hobi is a-alive or not" she once again busted into tears. She was trying hard to keep herself composed and think positive but how can she? When she doesn't know if her loved one is in danger or not.

J-hope couldn't see y/n crying so miserably so, he pulled her into a heartwarming hug. At that moment he just wanted to take away all the stress and pain she had. He didn't like seeing her so weak and vulnerable, even if they had only met a day ago. "I don't know what I'm supposed to say to make you feel better, but we will find Hoseok and bring him back home. Till then, I want you to stay strong. Can you do that?" He said while looking straight into y/n's teary eyes. She didn't say anything, just nodded and went to her room.

Time skip ( in the evening):

J-hope was still sitting in the same position as he did hours ago. He wasn't sure what he was going to do. It was not his house nor did he know anyone or owned any place here. He was waiting for y/n to come out so she could either lend him some money or let him stay here. In both the conditions J-hope was feeling ashamed to ask her that. He never asked someone to lend him money. He already had enough on his own. But the situation he was in made him do it anyway.
