Jake confidently walked inside the bar and was directly greeted by the bartender, "Good to see you back in here. Where have you been?"
The latter flashed his charming grin before speaking, "Just a mere vacation overseas. Missed me?"
The bartender chuckled, "The ladies missed you more than I did. The usual?"
"Yes, please. Do tell me, what have I missed?" Jake softly spoke, loud enough for the bartender to hear him.
"Nothing much. Just a bunch of women coming in and out, searching for you. What do you do to make them come back here again and again?"
Jake chuckled, "Watch and learn." He cleared his throat before spotting a lady enjoying her drink with her friends nearby.
He put his hands in his pockets before coolly strutting to her side. He slightly bent down to whisper something in her ear, catching the girl off guard and making her flustered before casually going back to his spot with a proud smile on his face.
The girl's friends first glanced at Jake before they started asking what he had said to her. The girl giggled as she shook her head, not wanting to share anything.
The bartender smirked, "You're such a flirt."
Jake pursed his lips, "Don't tell me something I already know."
He eventually got the beverage he had asked for and started enjoying his drink in peace when the door opened and a confident looking woman walked in, the same way Jake had made his appearance.
Jake briefly examined her before arching his brow, "Who is she?"
The bartender turned his head before answering, "Her? She's Park Aeri. She moved here recently. She said that she moved because she wanted to live alone and be independent."
"Hm? How old is she? She looks young to be brave enough to set a foot inside here," Jake spoke without removing his eyes from her.
"I'm guessing between 20 to 23," the bartender shrugged.
Aeri fixed her outfit once after taking off her blazer and made her way to the bartender as well, noticing the guy who was constantly staring at her.
"How are you, Taewoo?" She casually spoke to the bartender with her eye-catching smile.
"Pretty great. I suppose you're doing well too?"
"Not too well, not too bad. But I'm sure you could make my day better with a surprise drink," she winked.
The bartender chuckled while nodding, "Alright. Your friends are waiting for you, by the way."
"Thanks," she smiled politely and took a quick glance at the guy beside her before walking off. I haven't seen that guy around. She thought to herself.
Jake turned to the bartender with no expression, who was still grinning at himself, "You liked it that much, didn't you?"
The latter merely hummed, "She's my new favourite regular customer."
Jake clicked his tongue before turning his head back at Aeri, who was having a chat with her friends and giggling. That's one pretty face.
