“So, are you planning to get in a "serious" relationship this time?” Taewoo asked Jake with a smug expression on his face.
Jake snickered, “Clearly not. I enjoy leading people on for now. They're so gullible, which makes it more fun.”
Taewoo rolled his eyes, “Wait until it comes back to bite you.”
Jake merely scoffed and continued to enjoy his drink, still discreetly keeping an eye on Aeri.
It wasn't long before the girls eventually made their way to the bartender to bid him goodbye like they always did.
“Thanks a lot, Taewoo,” Aeri smiled and gave him a gracious tip.
“Please, I just did the bare minimum. I appreciate it, though,” the bartender grinned.
Aeri merely bobbed her head once and turned to Jake before leaving, “See you around, handsome.”
Jake arched his brow in confusion as the lady walked away confidently with her friends giggling as they followed her.
“Did I hear that right?” He asked Taewoo.
“Excuse me, what?” Taewoo replied.
“Ah, never mind. I'm heading off too. I'll see you later,” Jake mumbled and got ready to leave as well.
Meanwhile, the three girls got into a car as they chatted. “Is that guy really the one Eunhye kept on talking about?” Soojin asked as she got into the driver's seat as she was the oldest and only one with a driving licence.
“Seems like it. He got the looks of a player,” Jiyoung spoke as she attempted to light her cigarette.
Aeri sneered at Jiyoung as she turned around to snatch the lighter from her hands, “We're inside a car, for goodness sake, Jiyoung.”
Jiyoung rolled her eyes before putting her cigarette away, “Fine, I won't smoke here. Give me back my lighter.”
Aeri faced her front and kept the lighter in her bag, “Not until we reach Eunhye's place.”
Jiyoung scoffed and folded her arms as she sat alone at the back seat, “This is so unfair.”
Soojin started the car as she spoke, “You should think about your health, Jiyoung. I've been seeing a lot of patients with lung cancer and most of them were because of excessive smoking.”
“Ooh, here's a speech coming from Doctor Soojin again,” Jiyoung sarcastically exclaimed.
Soojin rolled her eyes, “I'm just a nurse.”
“Who cares? Both your knowledge are like almost equally the same. It's just that doctors get a title and higher salary,” Jiyoung spat.
Soojin shook her head, “Stop trying to be clever now.”
Aeri shushed the two of them as her phone rang, “I think it's Eunhye.”
“I swear to gosh, if she ditches us again like other days, I won't agree to coming over, ever again,” Jiyoung sighed.
“She's a single mother, give her a break,” Soojin scolded as she kept her eyes on the road while continuing to drive.
“Will you be quiet— hey, Eunhye!” Aeri exclaimed.
“I guess Jiyoung's barking again,” Eunhye laughed through the other line.
“Yeah, nothing new about it. Why'd you call?” Aeri scratched her head.
“I just wanted to ask if y'all are almost reaching,” Eunhye chuckled.
“Oh, thank goodness. We thought for a moment that you were going to ditch us again because Eunjo fell sick or something. Yeah, we're on our way right now, we'll be there soon,” Aeri spoke.
“Okay, good. Did you happen to stop by the bar, by the way?” Eunhye hesitantly asked.
“Uhm...yeah, we did.”
“Did you see him?”
“Yup. Looked like he just returned from a vacation, he looked quite tanned. I only noticed him when Jiyoung said that it was him.”
“Ugh...I hate that guy to the core. I can't wait to get my hands on him once I see him again.”
Aeri giggled, “Don't worry about it, I think I've got this handled. Focus on Eunjo for now, will you? He's one soft boy.”
“Yeah, okay. Just...kick his manhood for me when you meet him again.”
“Sure. See you later,” Aeri hung up and released a breath.
“Something wrong?” Soojin asked.
“No...just thinking about that guy. It's so sad that the attractive ones are always the players or just plain cold,” Aeri answered.
Jiyoung cackled while keeping her eyes on her phone, “Maybe it's just your type. He's not my type at all and my types are either taken or not interested in women.”
Aeri wheezed, “Soojin, what about you?”
“You know I'm dating someone right now,” Soojin spoke.
“Yeah, how's it going?” Aeri asked in anticipation.
“It's been good, I guess,” Soojin shrugged while still keeping her eyes on the road.
“Girl, if you do the deed and he gets you pregnant and decides to flee like Eunhye's ex, make sure you tell me directly. I'll beat him up for you,” Jiyoung spoke.
Soojin laughed, “We're not even thinking about that but okay, I guess.”
“Is Eunhye not looking for someone anymore?” Aeri asked.
“Seems like it. Would you want to continue to search for your "Mr Right" after the father of your child abandons you and a random guy you met at a bar flirts with you and fools you into falling in love with him while he doesn't even have a thing for you? I don't think so,” Jiyoung rapped.
Aeri made a face before looking down at the screen of her phone. “It must have been really stressful for Eunhye. Imagine meeting a guy and thinking he'd be the one for you to take care of your child with you when he was just fooling around for fun,” Soojin spoke.
“A total ass,” Jiyoung sneered.

Jake was about to step out from the bar when he noticed a familiar blazer on the corner of the bar. He briefly looked around before walking towards it and snatched it.
He slowly made his way back to Taewoo with the blazer on his hands, “Hey, don't you think this was the blazer the "Park Aeri" girl wore?”
“Hm, yeah, probably. She forgot it?” The bartender asked.
“Obviously. You should keep it with you until she eventually comes back to get it,” Jake was about to hand it to Taewoo when Taewoo shook his head.
“You're the one who found it, keep it with you. Plus, I caught you checking her out again and again while she was still here. Maybe this could be a chance for you to introduce yourself to her,” Taewoo smirked.
Jake snickered before speaking, “You're going to give her my address when she comes here to search for it?”
“Yeah, what else? Have fun.”
Jake merely chuckled before folding the blazer, “If she comes in searching for me like the other girls, it'll be on you, not me.”
Taewoo nodded his head, “Absolutely.”
