Vega stuffed the Time-Turner away beneath her shirt and nodded at Hermione as the two of them left the deserted dungeon classroom to go and join their friends as they piled out of the Potions classroom and up the stairs to go to the Great Hall to have lunch before Defence Against Dark Arts.

It was already great because they weren't going to share this class with the Slytherins, or any other house really. Vega just wanted to have a normal class with just her Gryffindor classmates.

"We should catch up with Harry and Ron quickly," Vega said to Hermione as they raced down the corridor. "There they are," She nodded to their two friends on the stairs, looking around.

"There they are," Harry said, too, as the two females reached the two boys – both of whom were staring at them in disbelief.

"How did you two do that?" Ron questioned; his blue eyes wide.

"What?" Hermione asked as she and Vega joined them in walking down to the Entrance Hall.

"One minute you both were right behind us," Ron pointed out. "The next moment, you were back at the bottom of the stairs again,"

"What?" Hermione said as she looked slightly confused. "Oh – We had to go back for something," Vega nodded casually in agreement. "Oh no –"

A seam had split on Hermione's bag. Vega frowned.

"Why are you carrying all these around with you?" Ron asked the brunette.

"You know how many subjects we're taking," Hermione said breathlessly as she tried to keep her books from falling out. "Couldn't hold these for me, could you?"

"But –" Ron said as he turned over the books that she had handed him, looking at the covers. "You haven't got any of these subjects today. It's only Defense Against the Dark Arts this afternoon,"

"Let me help you out," Vega spoke up as she held her wand out against the split seam. "Reparo," She ran the wand along the split and they watched it stitch itself back together. "Done,"

"Thanks," Hermione said, but she packed all the books back into her bag just the same. "I hope there's something good for lunch, I'm starving,"

Vega and Hermione walked off towards the Great Hall, and the black-haired girl turned to look at the brunette, a small frown forming on her lips.

"We need to be careful, use a spell to accommodate your books," Vega advised the girl. "Also, Ron's very suspicious of your behaviour – try not to let it get to your nerves and expose the secret,"

Lunch was a quiet affair between the four friends as they looked forward to their next class.

Professor Lupin wasn't there when they arrived at his first Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson. They all sat down in their desks and took out their books, quills, and parchment, and were talking when he finally entered the room. Vega flicked through her textbook absentmindedly as she waited.

Lupin smiled vaguely and placed his tatty old briefcase on the teacher's desk. He was as shabby as ever but looked healthier than he had on the train, as though he had had a few square meals.

Vega looked at him curiously and frowned, confused by the additional scars on his face.

"Good afternoon," Professor Lupin greeted the classroom. "Would you please put all your books back in your bags. Today's will be a practical lesson. You will need only your wands,"

A few curious looks were exchanged as the class put away their books. They had never had a practical Defence Against the Dark Arts class before, unless you counted the memorable class last year when their old teacher had brought a cageful of pixies to class and set them loose.
