This is an AU where Katsuki is a hunter, Izuku is a forest dwelling human (there is very little of them, but they are just humans that grew up in the forest with animals, in this case Izuku grew up with snow leopards in the snowy cold mountains! Keep in mind this is fiction, so I am sure I won't be scientifically correct about a lot of things, I mean... Izuku is living in a mountain. And for the sake of because I fucking said so xD when you grow up with forest animals, you become them ish, so Izuku has a tail and ears of a snow leopard, cuz... it's cute.

(This is from my book the alphas rogue omega, it's a little side story I wrote up because i felt like it lmao, but i quite like this, let me know if you would like to see this more written out, maybe as a book?

And yes I know I write too much bakudeku and this is supposed to have every ship, leave me alone *sob* 

Every generation, at the age of 19 must go out into the freezing cold mountains and come back with a predator. If you don't come back, or you bring back prey, you have failed, and your life is forever to work the fields, and the home work, man or women you must do this test. If you come back with a dead predator, you get to choose what you do with your life, almost like getting freedom, whether that's to be a hunter, to be the head of a family, to become the next head of the village.

Of course Katsuki wanted to win, but not just that, he wanted to be the one to catch the biggest predator, of course he did, so... He set into the mountains

Katsuki POV

I shivered some and huffed, seeing my breath as I got higher up the mountain, "God it's fucking cold" I grumble, continuing my walk before seeing a cave and stopping. There might be some snow leopards in there... Shit, I might as well check, being out here any longer I'm going to get hypothermia or some shit.

I get closer to the cage, it's dark, I can't see... I sigh, closing my eyes for a moment before opening them and going in a bit till I can only see the dark, waiting for my eyes to focus, after a little I could see something, in the corner curled up, surely that's a leopard... Or at least something big...

I grab the spear quickly, raising it up and getting closer, I was about to lunge it down till I fully recognized something. It's... A boy? My spear drops immediately, I was going to see if the boy was even alive before suddenly I was kicked away in the gut, I stumbled back onto my ass "AGH fuck what the hell" I say, my hand going to hold my stomach as I look up the boy was now backed up into the corner of the cage, he looked... Well scared. But that's not... The most important thing... Are those animal ears?

"A-away! G-go away!" I heard the boy yell, or thing, I don't know. He isn't good at this tough act, though, is he...

"I'm..." Well, I guess it's sorta a lie if I say I wasn't going to hurt him... Well, I mean I'm not now anyway.

"I'm not going to hurt you, alright? I was just trying to see if you were alright." I said, deciding to stay in my seated position on the cold ass stone floor.

"N-no! G-go!" He said once more, he was still in the frightened stance, how the hell am I supposed to even calm him down? Now that I think about it, he has to be cold, right? He isn't even wearing anything... Shit, is he hungry? Maybe if I throw him some food he will trust me some more, I guess I don't have another idea.

I grab my bag, I can feel him glaring at me, how funny. I grab a few pieces of jerky, who knows if he will like it, but it's really the only thing I brought.

I threw him the few pieces, but he stayed in his spot, so I just sighed

"You can call me Katsuki, who are you?" I say, but again he doesn't answer, so I sigh.

"C'mon, you can't be that dense. Surely you're cold, we should get you back to the village" I say, but he immediately freaks out

"NO! BAD BAD! THIS HOME!" He yells profusely, shaking his head. My eyebrows furrow watching him, surely he didn't... Agh I am so confused... I can tell he has bad English though, just the way he talks it's not normal. How much does he even understand of what I am saying then?

"Fine, no village, just... Calm down. You have my spear anyway, so it's not like I am dangerous" I say, well I guess I still have my hands though.

He huffs

"Still... Dan..geros" He tries to say, making me chuckle, how cute.

"Is that so? Yet, I should be scared of you. I have no weapon, but you do." I say and he shakes his head

"No!" He says, shaking his head once more. I can only assume he is disagreeing with me being scared, or maybe that he is dangerous, it's hard to have a conversation with someone who may not even understand you.

"Well, if you're not dangerous, and I am not, can't we be friends?" I say, he just stares for a moment, but his body seems a lot less tense, he seems less scared.

"What that?"

"Friends? Like... Someone you are close with, and nice to. Like a extended family member." I try to explain

"Family?" He says, sitting as I nod

"Yeah. You can be kinda like my family" I say, trying to smile in a friendly way.

"O-ok... Friend." He says, nodding, making me chuckle.

-------Time skip ish

"I'll be back... Alright? Tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" He asks and I nod

"Yeah... after the moon goes down and the sun comes back up, ill come back. Don't run off, or I won't be able to find you, ok?" I say, and he nods, with a smile, he must've been happening since his tail was smacking on the floor. Oh right, he is like... A half animal.

He even helped me get a predator body, somehow... I mean, it's not that I am bamboozled by it, there are books and legends about humans that are half human, but I had never actually seen one. I ain't going to tell anyone, hell, those stupid fucks would probably try to hunt the boy down.

He tried to explain, but he isn't good with English at all, he must've learned some over the years from listening to humans coming up the mountain and talking to each other, or maybe themselves. I don't know if he understood it, but I did promise him to come back and teach him better English. I want to be able to actually understand him, he seems to not have a family anymore, so... I guess... Agh I think I have a soft spot for him already...

I can feel my heart aching walking down this mountain, and I don't believe it's the cold...

I want to go back already...
