Jade's POV

*Beep. Beep. Beep.*

I opened my eyes to see that I wasn't at my house. I looked to the right of me seeing the heart scanner that beeped steadily. I was wearing hospital clothes and a breathing mask wrapped around my head to my mouth. The hospital was quiet and only the sounds of the heart scanner and footsteps through the hall went through my ears.

I lay back on the bed and turned my head to the left. There was a table with 2 gifts on it, a tiny white teddy bear holding a heart shaped lollipop and a heart that said "Get Better", and a tiny box wrapped in shiny blue wrapping paper.

I looked up at the ceiling and let out a sigh. The door opened and I nearly jumped when two men dressing in white went on each side of my bed in a flash. They had lavender handkerchiefs in the pockets of their suit jackets and lavender ties.

The sound of heels clicking on the floors entered my ears and a tall woman dressing in full white and dark hair came into the room. She smiled at me with her bright red lipstick. With a snap of her fingers, two more men dressed in white and lavender came into the room and set down two large bouquets of red and white roses on the gift table, crushing the other two gifts.

"Anyeo--I mean, Hello Jade Park." she said with a soft, polite voice while slightly bowing down. Her voice had a Korean accent. She got back up and smiled at me.

I hastily took off my breathing mask. "H-Hello..." I said still very confused.

"Omo, sorry" she said barely touching her lips with her finger tips. "Im Rachel Kim, mother of Mason." she said and gave me a genuine smile, not like the ones you give out of politeness but really... Genuinely.

"Mason's real mother?" I asked unsure because of her last name. She nodded in response.

"Im here to drop off a bouquet of flowers from Kyrstal." she said gesturing her palm towards the gift table. "The red ones." she whispered and softly chuckled. I smiled in return.

"May I?" she asked looking at the chair chair near my bed then back to me.

"Of course." I watched as one of her men moved the chair for her to that she sat next to my bed facing me.

"Are you feeling alright?" she asked. I nodded is response and she looked at me relieved. "Crystals worried about you." I nodded to let her know I was listening. "She came here almost 5 times a week with Mason. She always changed the flowers beside you every week." I looked at the bed side table and there was a vase of bright pink flowers on.

I looked back at her. "How long have I been hospitalized?" I asked feeling slight wary.

"About a month and a half, my dear." my eyes widened in shock. Not because of the time, since I have been hospitalized longer for the same reason, but because of the money bill.

"Ive heard a lot about you from Kyrstal and Mason." she said pulling me from my thoughts. "Your a very strong lady." she complimented and we both laughed softly.

"Thank you."

"Kyrstal is working really hard on your wedding. She said she always wanted to plan a wedding for someone since she was little. Actually, she wanted to do a lot of things when she was little. But when I mentioned about it she disagreed and said she's doing it for you. She didn't have many friends and her only friends her age here were Laurence, Mason, and Damion. Your her only girl friend. That's why Jina..." she said now holding onto my hand with both of hers. "Please take care of her."

A smile creeped up only face. "You must really like her too." I noted.

"Well, she is my daughter-in-law." we chuckled.

"Of course id take care of Kyrstal. I think she's really a good friend." I said placing my other palm on her hands. We smiled at eachother.

One of her men came towards us and whispered into her ear. She shook her head at him and got up, solely pulling her hands from mine.

"I have to go now. Ill come and visit next time when its not to busy around here." she said and took her leave with the men infront and behind her. The door closed softly.

"What did she mean by that?" I asked myself.

***Mason's POV***

The chauffuer stopped infront of the hospital. I took a quick look around and saw my dad's limo stuck in traffic not to far away. It was to hot to wait so I figured I should go up to Jade's room first.

I walked through the hall then turned the corner. When I did I saw a firmilliar lady and 4 men dressed in white around her. I walked slower to take a better glance at the woman.

"Mommy..." I said pulling her eyes from the floor to me.

"Omo... Mason." she said sounding worried. I let out a frustrated sigh and skipped all the questions I had.

"Go through the other gate. If he sees you he'll send you to another country." I warned while walking pass her and saying in more.

I opened the door and saw Jina's sickly self in bed. She watched me come in and sit on the chair beside her bed.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

She let out a weak chuckle. "I've been getting that question a lot lately." I didn't laugh or give a measly smile. I couldn't. Seeing her in this state is hard.

"Do you have to go through this every year?" I asked with a mix or worry and frustration in my eyes.

"It use to be so but, this is my first time in two years so its bound to feel worst." she said nonchalantly.

"Are you ok?"

"Yes" she said loudly. "Don't worry."

"How can I not worry." she didn't respond. It was silent for a moment till she started to talk again.

"Your mom visited. She had to leave early because she said the hospital was too busy or something."

"I know I passed my her in the hallway." I said quickly, getting it out of the way. "Look, you can anyone she was here alright. I don't even know what she's doing here." I said irritated by my mother's arrogance.

"Ok." she said defensively.

The door opened and my father came in telling his men to the guard the door.
