Data Log: Dining with Friends

A loud knocking at the door startles me.

Peering through my window, my friends stand before the door; Monoma, Pony, and Tetsu.

I run to my door, throw it open, and run to open the front door.

I find that Ms. Aoi had already opened it. I stop in my tracks and place my hands at my front.

"Y/N!"

Pony squeals with joy and bounds towards me. I open my arms and allow her to thump against my mostly hollow torso.

"Hello Pony, I see that you're excited."

"Well duh, yeah! I've never seen your house!"

"It is nothing special. Hello Monoma and Tetsu."

I wave as Pony looks around the tiny room.

Ms. Aoi returns to the stove, "You kids can go hang out in the back yard or YN700's room. But, both are pretty bare at the moment."

Tetsu walks up and grins widely.

"Lead the way, Y/N!"

I glance at Monoma before leading the other two to my room.

I can't help but feel he was upset.

I let the other two in and stop Monoma at the door.

"Are you alright? You seem upset."

I peer into his eyes and they seem red, as though he had cried. He shakes his head and smiles, allowing himself into my room.

Tetsu sits on my bed and Pony on the floor.

"Gosh, Y/N, your room is pretty bare."

Pony notes with a finger on her chin.

"I don't know how I would decorate, i don't really have anything I would want in here."

"No posters?" Pony's eyes widen

"No punching bags?!" Tetsu pumps his fists with a grin.

Monoma, softly, remarks, "No photos or mementos?"

I shake my head and shrug.

"Besides, what is the point? It'll all be taken away in 3 years. Some things can be justified, but posters and miscellaneous junk would be useless."

"But it isn't useless, Y/N."

Pony stands and holds out her hands.

"It makes everything more comfortable, it makes your room your room!"

Tetsu lays down on my bed, "Yeah, bro! Plus, it's more appealing to guests."

Monoma smiles and looks around.

"You kept it."

The tears seem to return in his eyes.
