UA: Become A Hero [Kaminari X Reader]

Data Log: Sports Festival PT. 1

Today is the day of the Sports Festival, where everyone in a certain school year fights to show off to pros.

My inclusion is meaningless, I'll beat every one of them.

We're all herded to the stadium in our gym uniforms, a huge crowd cheering us on.

"I hope you win, Y/N." I turn my head to see Tetsu baring his teeth with a grin. I nod and look up at the podium.

A kid named Bakugo steps up, representing the hero classes as a whole.

His posture is slouched and has a heavy scowl. His hair is spiked and ash blonde.

"I'm going to win."

The classes erupt in shouting, protesting his selfish words.

"Then I'll beat you."

Everyone turns to look at the source of the voice, that Bakugo kid glaring with an explosive flare.

"Oh yeah? How? No one can beat me!" He throws his arms out with a grimace.

"But I'm not 'no one', just trust me when I say 'I'll beat you'."

Everyone is silent as the teachers usher him off stage.

The looks towards me are redirected to the front where Mis Midnight announces the first task.

A obstacle course race sort of thing. Easy enough.

I sort of zone off, not caring.

"On your marks! Get set! Go!"

I run ahead of everyone, my long strides and accelerated speed putting me at an advantage.

The only person, at first, who kept up with my speed was a boy with glasses and pipes poking out of his calves.

I quickly overtake him, coming upon a huge robot. I don't pay it any mind, running past.

I skid to a stop at a ravine with pillars to walk upon.

I jump to each one, careful not to be too harsh. I don't want them to crumble.

I finish and see a few people barely starting their journey across the pillars.

I quickly accelerate to the minefield as Present Mic announces my arrival.

I stop and look at the field, detecting all the mines. I quickly accelerate, having to open some body plates to release steam.

I step on none of them, leaving a path between some, allowing others to accelerate faster.

I can only imagine those big screens in the stadium are displaying the race, since we left it to make room for the race.

I turn back and a metal chunk is flying through the air.

I continue until the chunck lands way ahead of me, realizing that someone was riding it. A green haired boy.
