You heard you sister screaming into pillow after her and mom got home. You got annoyed with the amount of noise she was making.

"Hey, keep it down. These walls ain't very thick you know" you say opening the door to meis room.

"Oh. Sorry y/n" she apologized. You walk back to your room and lay back down trying to fall back to sleep.

Mourning

You were sitting the the table eating breakfast as your mom called your sister down.

"meimei! Are you up? Breakfast is ready" she called  "Hey no suger" she slapped your father's hand.

"Coming" she groaned walking out of her room.

A few minutes later you hear a scream coming from the bathroom.

"Oh, no" you mumble as your mom gets up and began walking towards the door.

"Meimei. Is everything okay in there? What happened are you sick? Is it a fever? or stomachache? Constipation?" Your mom asked knocking on the door.

"no!" Mei yelled.

"Is it? Oh, God. Did the red peony bloom?" your mother asked

"maybe."

Your mother gasped "it's too soon. Uhh, don't worry honey. I'll get everything you need. Mommy's here"

your mother runs into her room "Jin, y/n it's happening Meimei, I'm coming. " Your mom rushed into the bathroom with a big box in her hands.

"No its not will you just get out!" Mei yelled but quickly cover her mouth seconds after.

You and your mothers eyes widden "excuse me?" You mother ask. "Ohhh" you had your ear on the door listening in.

You choked out a laugh as you picked up your bags getting ready to leave

"I-i-i I didn't mean that. I'm a gross red monster! " Mei began to cry "stop it stop talking!" Mei slapped herself in the face. Your mother clears her throat "meimei I know this is upsetting but we are going to get through this together." She opened the box and started taking out medication a heating pad and boxes of pads.

"Mom I gotta get going" You yell but she didn't respond "bye dad" you kiss his cheek as you walk towards the door. You perfored your dad over your mom since he accepted you for who you were. He understood you. Unlike your mom. After you came out to her she flipped out. And didn't talk to you for w while.

At school

You were in science class and the class was experimenting with chemicals. You were taking notes when your mom called. "Yes mom" you answered irrated "y/n get home now there's been an emergency with meimei" she explained." Knowing she was serious by using your first name.
Okay" you say before hanging up. "Milo, do you mind finishing these. I have an emergency" you explain "Yeah sure" she smiled you blush "t-thanks y-y-our the best" you send her a thumbs up.

Entering your home you see foot prints and dirt all over the walls "mei!" You rush into your sister's room being meet with her under a blanket and being a red panda "meimei?" Your mother says walking behind you "don't look at me stay back!" She cried as she brushed her fur "sweetie, it's okay. Mommy and your big sister are here" she tried to calm Mei down "why is this happening to me?!" She cried.

Your father ran into the room "What happened?" He gasped when he saw Mei.  "It's happened already?" You gave him the 'really' look "what did you say?" Mei asked as she uncover herself. You and your father look at your mom "ming, it's time" Jean put a hand on his wife's shoulder.

You open the doors to the temple. Your mom takes a deep breath and walks towards it and pulled up the photo revealing a small door. She pushed on it then it opened the took it the wood and it revels a small box. She took another breath "as you know our ancestor son-yee had a mystical connection with red pandas. Infact she loved them so much that's she asked the gods to turn her into one" she opened a scroll.

"It was war time the man were all gone son-yee was desperate to protect her village and her daughters. Then one night during a red moon the gods granted her wish. They gave her the ability to harness her emotions and turn into a powerful mystical beast. She was able to fend off bandits and help the village and save her family from ruin. son-yee past this gift to her daughters for when they came of age and they past it to there's, but over time our family choose to come to a new world and what was a blessing became an inconvenience" your mother explained with a smile.

Mei slowly looked up at the photo "are. You. Serious" Mei tried to attack the painting "Mei no" you yell pulling her back by the tall " it's a cure it's all your fault" she yelled "stop. Liston to me. Listen there's a cure." Your mom stared. Mei stopped and starred at her mom
