Bicker at a flicker

Avinaash's POV :

Though we had a short time period of preparation, the entire marriage event went smoothly according to the plan and everyone was happy. Only sad part was that we had to send Jaanu to her in-law's place now. My little sister who never failed to brighten up my day with her smile will now be the reason for happiness in Vasisht family. Even though everything happened too quickly, I was happy about the family she is now a part of. Krithi was really happy when Ved and Jaanvi agreed for the alliance.

Krithi and Jaanu may not have spent a long time with each other, but they share a beautiful bond. I have seen them talking for hours on phone calls sometimes. I was really happy to see them enjoying each others company.

Now Krithi is officially part of my life as my wife, I couldn't express the happiness I felt when we exchanged those promises and I tied her the mangalsutra which will bind us both for life. For me, love meant trust and understanding and Krithi was my perfect definition of a loving partner. She readily mingled with my entire family and they loved her too.
Love may be a relationship between two individuals but marriage is a bond between two families and fortunately in our case both the families were happily by our side when we began our new journey.

After finishing the rituals in our house now we are heading back to Mangalore for the reception. We reached our farmhouse on 27th evening and spent the night there. Since the reception here was handled by Krithi's family, we just had to attend it on time without worrying about the preparations.

Since the reception was in the evening, Krithi's family invited us to their home and we visited them. Jaanu was very happy to meet us and she already behaved like the perfect daughter-in-law of Vasisht family and I was happy to see my Jaanu happy in that house. We had a family lunch and the happy conversations filled the dining room.

Then we left to the reception venue as we had to get ready. Me and Ved had picked the classic black tuxedos while Krithi walked in with her red gown and Jaanu in her Blue and silver coordinated gown.

Reception went on for a long time and many important business partners of Krithi's parents and relatives joined to wish us. We had our dinner at 10 in the convention center of the venue.
After the reception Mom told me about the ritual where Krithi had to leave with her parents to their home. I was really not happy with this and I started whining.
"Anna its just for the night, don't worry we will take care of her "
My Jaanu went on to tease me.
"Let's see if you say the same thing when you have to leave Ved and come with us tomorrow "
Now the ball was in my court and I smirked at her.
" Of course I will be happy to come home, I mean.... I can be with him all the time, but you guys are rare to meet right? "
Her answer made me a bit sad since she will be missing us once we leave to Bangalore.
"Don't worry Jaanu, you can visit them whenever you feel like."
Dev uncle spoke with a smile.
Since it was already too late everyone decided to leave. It was really painful to send Krithi with them, but seeing her happy face I decided to send her with the smile and we left to our farmhouse.

Jaanvi's POV :

Once we reached home, everyone became busy enquiring Krithi attige about her stay with her new family. Even I was curious about this talk. She said she was happy to be with her new family and she enjoyed these two days. I felt relieved knowing she is happy.

We all changed back to comfortable clothes and my sweet sister in law dragged me to her room. Everyone started arguing when she said she will spend the night with me. Obviously me and Ved were really happy when she said that, since we didn't have to sleep in the same room.

We both talked with each other and she showed me all the childhood photos of Ved and her. Ved was really a cute kid in his childhood and as he grow up he became more good looking and handsome. I never denied his good looks even though things weren't so good between us. I admit we looked good with each other when I checked our engagement photos. Only thing that was missing in those photos was our genuine smile and love for each other in our eyes.

Our talks continued till late night and she got a call from Avi Anna. I initially teased them for sometime and then allowed them to do all their love talks. They really are a cute couple. I wish they remain the same always. Once she was done with her talks we decide to sleep.

Next day Avi Anna came home with Dad and Mom at around 11, we had lunch together. We left to our farmhouse after lunch and my family gave me a warm welcome once we reached. Everyone asked me about my stay at home and I assured them my happiness. My Chikki tried to extract some juicy details of my first night but I denied saying it was a top secret. If they actually knew about the things that happened they might regret this entire marriage. I realized the fact that some harmless sweet lies are better than harsh truths.

Next day, I spent my lazy day with my family. Till noon, Ved didn't show up at all. For once I thought he really ditched me with my family which is nearly impossible. He came home in the evening and since my family was leaving the next day, we bid goodbyes to them and went back home.

Once back in the room the same argument of bed and couch happened again.
"Jaanvi I'm asking you decently to take the couch and leave my bed "
"This room belongs to both of us, so there is nothing like mine and yours here. You were the one adamant on sleeping on the couch. I didn't push you to do it. So practically I'm not at any fault. "
"You.. Princess without tiara, stop acting like you own everything here"
"And you... gentleman without manners, stop getting irritated at each and everything"
" What else do you expect? Me sleeping next to you on the same bed?"
He spoke as if I'm some vampire who would suck his entire blood if he laid next to me. I was busy laughing at my own thoughts and he shot me with a glare.
"Why not? I promise I wont bite or scratch you since I too belong to normal human community. So you can peacefully sleep on the other side of the bed "
"Stop acting so naive Jaanvi. I know all these techniques of seduction you girls use. So please take the couch while I'm talking nicely. "
