Jordan sips iced cold unsweet tea as he listens to the drama that is now part of his friend's life. Outside the infamous Texas heat has reached its peak, and the three of them are sitting at the kitchen table with a pitcher in the center. Avery pours herself a glass and squeezes a wedge of lemon when Lucia starts her side of the story.  He thinks about the dream and how watching Twilight growing up could tie into this. "Avery you might slap me for this but I think you have imprinted on Lucia"

Avery excuses herself before quickly walking to her room and gently closing the door. Lucia moments later stands outside about to knock. As her fist swings down it opens, and the werewolf catches her hand to pull the vampire inside. She instantly huddles on the bed shaking in fear and embarrassment.

"I hate how much what Jordan said makes sense. The s.o.b who turned me and probably others need his ass kicked and then some" Avery growls, wishing to immediately disappear from existence right then and there.

Lucia wordlessly sits next to the werewolf until she calms down. Lightly pressing her palm against Avery's cheek she looks her in the eyes.

"You don't have to be ashamed around me. I understand what it's like to feel abnormal and wrong. It is not our fault however that we became this way. Without your dream, I would not be able to stand up to Darren for long. So I will help you find the asshole who turned you and make sure he never makes someone else their victim"

Avery nods with a new look of determination in her eyes and together they come up with a plan. They pitch the idea to Jordan who shakes his head but laughs.

"This is insane but I'm in. So basically we are going to the bar on July 5th before the moonrise. Lucia is the bait and I pull Avery out if shit hits the fan. What will we do when that creep shows his face?."

Lucia suggests just scaring him somehow or one of them recording what happens and blackmailing him. None of their ideas involve calling the cops since it would escalate the situation. Plus if people found out about the existence of beings such as werewolves and vampires they could be in danger.  Agreeing on her plan they adjourn for the day but will go over it once more before the time comes. When Lucia leaves Jordan sits with his friend about to apologize when she lifts up her hand to stop him.

"It is okay I'm not mad at you, no need to say sorry. If anything you solved the question Lucia and I couldn't figure out ourselves.  Also am sure she has known about my feelings for her even before this but didn't say anything about that part of it."  Avery smiles at the look of relief crossing his features replacing what she sensed as worry. With that cleared up, they decided to take naps in their separate rooms feeling lethargic and wanting to lay under ceiling fans to stay cool.

...

Lucia hunts in her usual spot feeling conflicted emotions. While a part of her is relieved there is no doubt that Avery is in love with her she is also unhappy. Seeing the werewolf's self-loathing multiple times is painful. She would give anything for the two of them to be fully human or at least accept this other part of them. Her thoughts snap back to the moment however when her hunger demands to be satiated. Pushing everything else out she focuses on the kill temporarily leaving worries aside. It is only in these moments that Lucia gives in to her inner predator, conscious enough however to show her prey mercy with painless deaths. A few drained squirrels later she returns fully to humanity silently thanking them for the sustenance. When she leaves usually coyotes or other scavenges will feast on the rest leaving none to waste.  As she heads out a few text notifications pop up. One is from her friend George who is getting back from visiting family in London in a week. She smiles replying while walking to her car. The other is from a group chat she, Jordan, and Avery set up.

"Just in case Avery what pair of handcuffs should I get for next month?" Jordan said along with a few pictures from online sites.  Lucia almost drops her phone, face burning as she pictures the werewolf restrained against a bedpost with a seductive look.

"Hmm think the hinged one would be better. Lucia what do you think?" She responds with the thinking face emoji.

Hands trembling the vampire replies with "My sister is a cop and prefers carrying hinged cuffs so I would go with that"

With that settled the vampire takes a few calming breaths before driving home distracting herself by listening to music and belting out the lyrics.
