Baking [Main characters: Colby Odd and Eden]

It was a unusually quiet afternoon is Colby's house, they were re-organizing chests when she got startled by the ring of her doorbell. "Ah! Hello?" He yelled from the basement. "Colby? You in there?" Someone shouted back. "Ugh. I gotta get up." Colby murmured to themself.

Odd wasn't looking when the door swung open, and there stood Colby, looking like they haven't slept in days. "Hey, uh.. Aki told me you were good at baking, and I got kinda bored. So um, if you're not busy, could you maybe..?" Odd's sentence trailed off a little, but Colby knew what she was talking about.

"Sure..? I'm not too busy at the moment. Come back in around thirty-ish minutes and I'll try to find a recipe or something."

Odd's face seemed to brighten, it was kind of weird for her to even be talking to anyone. Talking about her passions seemed to make her open up a little; it's nice to see people like her going around and doing stuff.

While Odd went back home to get ingredients for what ever the heck she was going to bake, Colby set up a little kitchen in his home. She finished relatively quickly, with around 20 minutes to spare, and decided to go on a walk.

As Colby was slowly pacing through the trees, Eden was trying to tame a wolf.

"COME BACK HERE, DOGGY!" Echoed a voice through the woods. Colby flinched as a flash of white rushed past, followed by a desperate E.D. The dog was carrying a bone, looking ecstatic as it was playing a  friendly game of steal-the-bone. Colby quickly got side-tracked and thought, "I have nothing else to do right now; why not?" They soon picked up a pace slightly slower than E.D, and ironically caught the wolf first.

Colby took the bone and gave it to Eden so she could tame it. "THANK YOU SO MUCH, it took me forever  to get this guy!" She exaggerated. "No problem!" Colby replied.

From the corner of their eye and through the trees, Colby saw someone approaching their house, and knew exactly who it was. "Uh, I gotta go..!" Then she darted away, just before E.D. was about to continue talking.

E.D. stood there confused, with nothing to do but watch.

[ Colby hit the ground to hard. ]

"You good?" Odd asked, genuinely concerned. "Yeah, sorry. I kinda lost control of my elytra." Colby replied. Eden was still standing across the small lake.

"Uhhh... what's Odd doing at your house?" She asked.

"We were gonna bake something... if we ever agree on a recipe." Colby answered. She turned her head for the first time to see Odd holding up a small bin of ingredients such as wheat, eggs, frosting, and some fruit. "Oooo, this would be perfect for a cake! -Or a batch of cupcakes, what ever works for you." Colby blurted. "Could I join?" Eden said, hopping into the conversation. "Hm? Yeah." Odd replied without thinking. 

As they entered the house together, Odd set the ingredients on the table, and Eden preheated the oven.

"Okay, cake or cupcakes?" Colby asked while ducking into a cabinet.

"CAKE!" (E.D.)

"Cake..?" (Odd)

Eden and Odd's voices sounded slightly similar, but the way they spoke was very different.

"Alrighty! Cake it is. Lemme just grab the p- FUCK." Colby hit the cabinet as she lifted her head.  "I mean- uh.. did I say 'fuck'? I uh, I meant 'pan.' Yup. Pan.." Colby rubbed the back of his head whilst cursing to themself.
