Lucinda was dying Flake's hair red, rubbing the dye on the tuft of fur on Flake's head.
"Last time I dyed my hair red," Flake said, "I got chased by some kids in a car. Apparently, since my hair was red, that meant I liked guys." Flake said, shrugging.
"That's weird," Lucinda replied, "Wait, my face itches."
"Let me help you," Flake said, scratching Lucinda's face for her, "You could've accidentally dyed yourself red."
"Thank you," Lucinda said.
 "Mhm," Flake replied.
"I'm getting bored, this is so repetitive. Tell me a story, or something." Lucinda said, still impatiently rubbing the dye into Flake's tuft of fur.
"There was once a cat named Lucinda. Lucinda took a trip to Africa. Lucinda got eaten by a lion. The end." Flake said.
"That's nice, Flake." Lucinda said, sighing, "Tell me a story without death."
"Not every story needs a happy ending," Flake said.
"Whatever." Lucinda replied, breathing out angrily.
