The petal haired girl entered the office and immediately spotted Masaru-sama sitting at his desk reading a scroll. His long red hair was tied back in a ponytail, his forest green eyes looked up from the scroll and met her emerald orbs.
"Ahh, Sakura-chan." He acknowledged. Sakura bowed her head in respect and sat down in the seat in front of his desk. "I have some news for you." Now this caught Sakura's attention.
"What's is it Masaru-sama?" Sakura asked curiously.
"You shall be going on your first mission." The pink haired girl had to stop herself from gaping.
"What? When?" She asked dumbfounded
"In two days, come to my office early in the morning and I shall give you the mission details."
"Hai Masaru-sama!"
"You may leave now Sakura-chan." He dismissed her. The petal haired girl stood up and bowed before leaving. She exited the building and walked to her house. She opened the door to her home and closed it behind her before rushing upstairs to her room.
Sakura slipped out of her kimono and got dressed into a dark green sleeping yukata. Then the petal haired girl undid her hair and crawled into her bed. She pulled the covers up to her chin before falling into a deep sleep.
The next morning she woke up at the crack of dawn and got dressed into a black and purple kimono that ended halfway down her thighs. Sakura put on black biker shorts underneath her kimono and tied her weapons pouch to her thigh. Then she went downstairs into her kitchen and took some rice balls out of her fridge. She sat down at the Chabudai and started eating.
Once she finished her food and finished washing the dishes she put on her black traditional ninja sandals and headed to the training grounds.
If she was to have her first ever mission the next day then she needed to be ready. The girl stretched before she got into her stance and started running through katas.
Once she had finished she sat down underneath a tree and meditated. Meditation was something people in the Haruno clan did every day, it helped them with controlling their kekkai genkai as well as helping them have enough patience to master it.
After meditating for about an hour the four year old opened her eyes and stood up.
'Maybe I should go and find Niko-san and ask her for another lesson later, she could teach me something that will come in handy for my mission .' After thinking about it she decided to visit Niko that afternoon.
Sakura got into her fighting stance and began sparring against an invisible opponent.
The four year old didn't stop until her lungs burned and her heart raced. She lay down on the ground trying to catch her breath. Once she had stopped panting she stood up and stretched, then she walked back to her house to have a shower.
She washed her long, pink locks and her body before stepping out of the shower and drying herself with a white towel. Sakura then then proceeded to get dressed into a short, grey kimono and a yellow obi, as a last thought she strapped on her weapons pouch over her dark grey biker shorts. The girl then brushed her long hair and tied it into two braids, Niko-san never failed to remind her about putting her hair up to avoid it from falling into her face while she's practicing her medical ninjutsu.
"If your hair blows into your face you won't be able to focus fully on healing your patient." The woman had said. Sakura liked the medic and enjoyed Niko-san's teachings. The woman had even said that she had never seen anyone summon healing chakra as quickly as Sakura.
The petal haired girl exited her home and made her way to the compound's clinic. The girl entered the building and noticed that there weren't many people inside.
'I suppose I'm pretty lucky that there's nobody here in critical condition otherwise I most likely wouldn't be able to see Niko-san.' The girl thought as she wandered through the corridor, searching for the head medic's office.
She knocked on the door once she reached the woman's office and waited for a response.
"Come in!" Sakura opened the door and was greeted by the sight of a desk with piles of paperwork stacked on top. Behind the desk sat a middle aged woman, her long brown hair tied into a braid that had been rolled up in a bun, two pieces of hair framing her tanned face. The woman's forest green eyes shone with joy when they spotted the four year old.
"Sakura-chan!" The lady greeted, a smile lighting up her face. "What a wonderful surprise!"
"Niko-san." Sakura bowed her head. "I was wondering if you could give me another lesson?" The woman looked at her for a second before she stood up and walked past her, holding open the door. Sakura looked at the medic with confusion visible on her features
"Well come on Saku-chan, you aren't going to learn about poisons here." Niko-san said as she grinned at the girl.
"Poisons?" Sakura asked as she followed Niko-san out of the office.
"Yup! Todays I'm going to teach you a bit about poisons!" The woman grinned as she led the four year old through the clinic. They arrived in a room at the back of the clinic that had shelves filled with bottles full of liquid lining the walls. In the middle of the room there was a large island with a sink.
"Cool!" The petal haired girl exclaimed as she she smiled eagerly at the brown haired woman.
"I'm glad you're so eager." She smiled as the younger girl sat down on a stool at the island. "Although I must ask why you decided to come see me today; I wasn't expecting you until tomorrow."
"I have a mission tomorrow."
"Really? I guess that makes sense, make sure to come and see me when you get back. Anyway I have to get something from my office, wait here and try not to touch anything." Niko-san said before she exited the room.
'Why didn't she just get the stuff she needed when we were in her office?' The petal haired girl wondered. Sakura looked around the room, casting a curious gaze towards the bottles of liquid on the shelves. What were in those bottles? Medicine? Poison?
She was brought out of her musings by Niko-san entering the room. The brown haired woman was carrying a thick book although Sakura couldn't see what the title was.
"Alright! First things first, here is a book about different poisons and antidotes, the book also lists some other facts. You don't have to read it all right away, don't worry. The list of ingredients you need to create the different antidotes and poisons are also contained in the book." The woman placed the book in front of Sakura and sat down next to the girl.
Sakura spent the rest of the day studying poisons and antidotes with Niko-san until eventually the older female had to tend to some of her patients. The petal haired girl left the clinic and made her way home, intent on getting a good night sleep so that she would be energised for her mission the next day.
