My Warrior Academia: The Coming of Heroes #1- A Feline Change

Chapter 2

*💚🐱Deku's POV🐱💚*

It's been ten minutes since me and Kacchan woke-up and started going down the mysterious cat path. As we walk, I notice that there was cat paw prints permanently worn into the ground. 'Maybe wild cats do use this path, a lot.' I thought worriedly looking from side to side, making sure that no one attacks us. "Deku, what's wrong??? You've been quiet ever since we took a few steps on the path." Kacchan said, look at me with worried eyes. 'It's so weird hearing Kacchan say that she's worried about someone out loud.' I thought as I looked at her. 

"Well, I notice that there are cat paw prints worn into the ground. And that made the chances of of wild cats living around are much higher than they were before. I'm just making sure no one attacks us, since we're not use to these bodies, you more then me." I said. And after I did I heard something from our left. "Kacchan, did you hear that?" I asked her, turning to the direction of the the sound. "Yeah, I did. But thankfully it's too small to be a cat or anything that can hurt us so we're safe. Let's just continue going down the path."

"But what if it's an injured kitten who's to young to take of it's self or something like that? We need to in investigate, just in case." I said, willing for Kacchan to agree with me. "I guess your right Deku. I mean, no matter what we're still Heroes-in-Training so we have to investigate. And if it's someone in trouble we have to help them." Kacchan said as she went in the direction of the sound. She then turned back to look at me. "Hey Deku, are you coming or not? I mean investigating the sound was your idea." She said before continuing, running this time. "Yeah, I'm coming!" I said as I ran to catch up to her.

When I caught up to her I went to her side and the both of us slowed down until we were walking again. As we walked the mystery sound got louder and more clear, it was definitely a kitten and by the sounds of it more then one. "Well Deku, it looks like you were right. But what's a litter of kittens doing out here? And I don't hear their mother, I mean if we can hear the kittens this clearly then we should be able to hear the mother clearer right?" She said as we piked up the pace. 'Why would a mother cat leave her kittens alone and out here?' I thought as we got closer to the kittens. I was thinking of a reason when a we heard a little kid yelling. "Someone help! Mamma's hurt!"

After hearing that, me and Kacchan started running again. When we got there what we saw surprised us, it was the figure of a gray-and-sliver cat lying on their side, next to the cat was three kittens who looked about one month old. We rushed to the kittens and saw that their were crying and that the cat, who must be the kittens mother, was breathing heavily. When we got to the kittens side we saw a huge gash on the she-cat's side. Me and Kacchan looked at each other knew what was going to happen all too well, that it was too late to save her. "Please help Mamma." I looked down and saw one of the kittens looking at me with tearful eyes.

I looked at the kitten, shocked. But I guess I shouldn't be, I mean we did got turned into cats it'll only make since that we can understand them. "I'm sorry, but there's nothing we can do to save her." I said, looking at the soon to be orphan kittens. "You mean Mamma's going to leave us like Bubba and Papa did?" The second kitten said, crying even more along with the other two. I was about to try and comfort them when a pained grunt came from the dying she-cat.

I looked over at her to see she had her head up and she was staring at us. "Please, take care of my kits." And those were the last words she said before her head fell down again and her breathing stop, she was dead. "MAMMA!!!" Yelled all the kittens after seeing their mother dying right in front of them. Kacchan then walked over to the kittens side. "I'm sorry we couldn't get here in time." She then let her she-cat instincts take over to comfort them. She licked all three of them on the head and wrapped her tail around them.
