Another day ended and I head home directly, since I have a new pet to think of. Before leaving for school, I asked Sebastian to fetch her in my room and buy things that she needs.
The door opened and Sebastian greeted me.
"So? How did it go?" I asked for the results of the errands I asked him to do. Still bowing he answered, "I'm so sorry master, but I found no one inside your room." Is that so?
After hearing his answer I walked calmly towards my room. I opened the door and found her lying, front pressed on my bed while reading a book. I looked at my room and a lot of books are scattered on the floor.
I looked at her and she's still reading. She didn't even dare look at me. I put down my bag and started taking my clothes off.
"Someone came here while you were out." She mumbled, still not looking at me.
"Yes, I ordered him to fetch you. Why didn't you show yourself?" I asked her while changing my clothes. That reminds me...
"Are you the one who made breakfast for me yesterday?" I asked and she took her eyes off the book. She sat on my bed and her red orbs finally met mine. I hate people who won't obey me and looks directly at me, but why do I feel like this one is different.
"Yes. Even the change of clothes. I even stayed inside your closet since it smells nice." She answered stoically.
"Why didn't you show yourself to Sebastian?" I asked again and she continued reading.
"I only show myself to people I trust. And I only trust people whom you trust."
"I don't trust you." I murmured frankly. She looked at me, her emotionless eyes remained unmoved.
"I know Akashi-kun. As of now." She answered.
"If you're the doll then why won't you show me?"
"Soon. When it's needed." She answered then went back to reading.
I went to my table and started doing some of my works.
An hour passed and all of my works are finished. I looked over my shoulders and she's still reading.
"Akashi-kun?" She mumbled without looking. I turned my chair around.
"Name?" She looked at me. Her eyes look so distant as ever. Distant huh?
"You haven't named me yet." She mumbled again.
...
"Alice." I answered.
"Alice huh?" she said then went back to reading. She didn't even ask why. Well, less work for me.
"Akashi-kun, define lonely." She suddenly asked. I turned to my table and started working on tomorrow's works.
"There's a dictionary on my shelf."
"What's a dictionary?"
"Collection of words and its definitions."
"So you can answer. I want to hear the definition from you. Akashi-kun."
I turned around and glared at her. Her eyes didn't move one bit. She's just looking at me. Everybody else is weakened by my stare. Why is she different?
"Sadness from being apart from other people."
"Do you feel that now?" She asked suddenly.
"Why do you ask?"
"I wouldn't be here if you weren't."
"What do you mean?"
"My former owner told you before right? She gave me to you and you accepted."
