My name is Haddley Jenson, I am 13 years old, I love country music and cats,  and I know I am in love. I'm sure of it. I have liked him for over 4 months, I dream about him, and my heartbeat quickens every time I look at him. Who do I like? James Parkerson, a kid who is not in my class, a kid I have never talked too, and a kid who has no idea who I am. Its the biggest crush I have ever had on a person in my school.

But who could blame this guy for not knowing me? I'm invisible. I wear nerdy glasses I have never wanted, I have medium-lengthed hair thats naturally orange. I only wear over-sized shirts and leggings. And I'm an introvert so no I don't make an effort to talk to people or make friends. I only have one friend, my best friend since 6th grade, Samantha Roberts. The best friend a girl like me could ask for.

"Haddley, time for school!" My dad called from downstairs.

"Coming!" I said grabbing my bag from the door, I totally forgot what I was doing, whenever I go to the bathroom or get ready in there, I will take almost half an hour. I get too busy talking to myself, daydreaming, or just staring at myself. It's weird but I can't help it.

"Nervous?" my dad asked once I entered the kitchen, I grabbed an apple and took a big bite.

"Not really."  I said my mouth full with food.

"Okay well you better get going, your bus will be here soon." he said looking at his watch.

"Alright. Love you."

"Love you too pumpkin, have a good day."

"Thanks" I said closing the door behind me. I ran too the end of the sidewalk where my bus stop is, there was only 2 other people there. When the bus pulled up I walked down the isle too the very back where Samantha sat with earbuds in her ears. She was also an introverted person, with long dirty-blonde hair, she always wore eyeliner and she was very good at it too. Unlike me.

"Hey!!" she said when she saw me, I plopped right down next too her. Did I mention it was the first day of school? Well it is. She was excited, I was not. Or, I guess I just don't care.

"Hey!" I said "watcha listening too?" She handed me an earbud, before I even put it in I could here Harry Styles singing on full-blast.

as we listened we talked a bit about kids in our school, things that we have heard.

"I still think you should go right up to James and ask him out." Samantha said changing subject.

" I could never do that. He has no idea who I am."

"Then start messaging him on instagram. Not that hard. He's a nice guy from what I've heard."

"Yeah but still, I don't want too sound stupid."

"Thats not an excuse Haddley, oh are you excited about our sleepover on Friday?" Thats the thing about Sam. She changes the subject ALL the time.

"Yeah. Of course I am." I was just shocked when my dad said yes too it, all I've done this summer was have sleepovers with Sam.

The bus came to a halt. We were already at school. there were so many people. everyone on the bus stood up. Me and Samantha did the same.

When I was just about too jump off the last step Samantha pushed me. I fell onto the sidewalk, the things in my bag went flying, so did my glasses,  my hands stopped myself from doing a faceplant, I swore at Samantha, when I looked up at her her eyes were wide, I looked to the right to see the Nike shoes I could reconize anywhere.

James was looking right down on me.
