Chapter 9: Mess

I couldn't sleep, it was to cold outside, my window kept opening because of heavy wind.
Its 1:00 am and I'm wide awake, I made my way down the house and through the door. As I closed the door I sighed.
Why?
I thought deeply while walking on the foot pavement while the cold wind breeze went past through my skin.
I looked up at the sky looking at the stars.
Why can't we be like the stars? That way our love won't ran out just like those glowing heavenly body across the sky.
A tear pricked on my eye, luckily its 1:00 am in the morning or I'll be mobbed by fans any minute.
I stopped on the next block sitting on the old rusted bench, dusting off the small particles.
I crouched my back and embraced myself and my eyes wondered over the streets through the city lights.
I leaned back on the bench causing it to creak. I hummed a song that went to my mind.
"Oh won't you stay with me.... Cause your all I need" I hummed silently.
I look over at the porch across the street and saw Laura. My eyes lit up, that was the place were we usually meet.
I ran over to that place to see no one just wind blowing hardly pass through me.
I huffed, I looked at my watch, it was 1:30, I made my way back to my house kicking rocks.
I opened the front door silently, and went to my room. I shifted across the door to my window. I looked over at the bed next to me to see Ryland facing back from me.
I silently went over to my bed and tucked my blanket through me, and then I was asleep.

"Ross! Wake Up!" Someone yelled softly to my ear while shaking me.
I rubbed my eyes and fluttered them open to see Rocky with red eyes.
I sat up immediately, "Dude are you crying?" I said while patting his back.
He looked away from me and looked down.
"What happened." I had to ask since his my brother, I'll be more heartless If I won't even care.
"Alexa and I are not In good terms right now, we---we fought last night through call, she---shee said she needed a break, then I started ye--yelling why---" He sounded in pain.
"She---sheee said I'm to busy with R5, I ne--ver have time for her, I was planning to ask her today on a date, but things got out of hand and she---sheee broke up with me, she--shee said she has someone already with." He sobbed quietly.
I bro hugged him and we pulled away.
He went outside my door and rubbed his eyes, "When you need me I'll be in my room" Rocky said pain never leaving his voice.
I went downstairs to see Ryland sorting papers out, and some of them were on the floor, As I wass walking towards him a paper flew at my direction but I ducked, "Woah dude! Whats got you all messed up?" I said and sat infront him.
"Now's not the time to talk Ross I'm busy!" He said stressfully while running his hand through his brunette hair.
I raise my hand up in surrender and made my way to the kitchen. I stirred some brew and popped a day old pocket pie to the microwave.
After minutes I took out my freshly hot pie and placed it on the plate.
I took some newspapers and read. Same old stuff.
I placed the newspaper bacl down to here loud sneezing from upstairs, I looked over at Ryland but he's face was all scrunched up and stressed.
I placed my coffee down amd went upstairs. I head to the door where I heard the sneeze, as I made my way I heard a very rough cough coming from Rydel's door.
I peeked to the door to see Riker taking care of Rydel, I guess she doesn't need my help. Yeah, I mean why would she, she's fucking not through with me yet.
I closed back the door. I made my way back to the kitchen and kept the food I ate. I gave my coffee to Ryland, and he just gave me a thumbs up sign and a shoo away sign.
I rolled my eyes. I sat on the family couch and popped in some video games, my head kind of ached from yesterday. I just took some aspirin and its starting to heal.
As I fought with the screen, I heard Riker, "Guys! Im going rehersals! Gotta go!" He said and closed the door shut, I shrugged my shoulder and went back to the games.

After an hour of playing I head back to my room, I opened some drawers to see old pictures of Laura and I, the ring she gave me, the beanie she gave me.
I sighed, I was half way closing the drawers to see something pushed inside the drawer. I opened the drawer wide as possible to see the Iphone I gave Laura, since she didn't accept it she gave it back to me as a remembrance, to keep me reminded that she "loves" her Flip phone, I laughed at the memory.
I opened the Iphone to see everyone's number punched in, I guess I'm using this now.
I took the phone and slid it inside my pocket, I checked my watch its 4:00 already. I had nothing to do so I decided to go the City Park (a/N I dont know if that excist).
As I went down I see Ryland leaning down the couch. "Ry! Got my new number up! Just tell Rydel,Rocky and Riker when he comes home, got to go!" I said and rushed to the door.
I went inside my car and placed the keys in and turned on the ignition and drove away.
When I arrived on my destination.
I smiled as I went outside the car, remembering this was the place where Laura and I had our first date.
I went for a walk near the pond. Then I saw a familiar brunette, eating someone out. I went to the direction to see Maia kissing someone.
"Maia?!?" I said loudly that everyone in the park could here me.
She pulled away with wide eye, "Ros-".
"No! You cheated on me! With this sick bastard!" I made my way to the guy and shoved him under the tree holding up his collar. I was furious, my nerves were popping out from my neck, I was red.
"NO, ROSS STOP!!" She said grabbing my arm away from the guy.
"No were through! You and that idiot can be together I don't care about who your'e going to be with!" I spat out and walked away.
I made my way to the bench and sighed, then. I saw some girl making her way beside me.
She sat down, and never bothered to look up, she sniffled.
"Are you okay?" I said.
She gazed at me, "Your Ross Lynch." She said with a thick australian accent.
I nodded, she was beautiful, gorgeous, hot, stunning.
"So what made a beautiful girl like you cry?" I asked forgetting about the whole Laura situation.
"I'm Courtney I'm not beautiful girl" she said giggling.
"My boyfriend and I broke up, we had long distance, Im not good at long distance, I'm terrible at it! I just had to!" She said sobbing.
I held her hand, and smoothed my thumb at the top. She smiled.
"Here's my number, call me when you need anything!" I said while standing up and and picking her phone up and punched my number on and while winking at her, she giggled. I gave her phone back and slightly kissed her cheek recieving a blush from her.
While I made my way to the car, my phone rang, at first. I thought it was the girl, Courtney.
I looked at the caller ID to see Rydel calling me, I pressed answer.
"Hello?" I said.
"Ross! We won't be home for now!" Rydel said she sounded like she was flustered.
"What Happened?"
"Riker! His in the hospital! Im driving my way there! But there's stupid traffic!"
"What The Hell?"
"He slipped and broke his leg and banged his head slightly on the floor. Im worried!"
"I'll be on my wa-" she cut me off.
"No just stay at the house! Ryland's not there he's stressed he went to the doctor to get some pain relievers, he said his head has been aching."
"How bout' you your sick! Why can't Rocky drive, sure-" she cut me off again.
"No Ross, Rocky he's drunk! His drinking his ass off, he could've got hurt when I didn't find him in the bar, I saw him there, he was almost in a fight, he bruised his cheek."
"WHAT?!?, I WAS JUST GONE FOR HOURS AND NOW WHAT HAPPENED!"
"Sorry we gotta go! Bye!"Before I can talk she hung up.
I tossed my phone inside the car and drove my way to the house. It was still twillight, and I haven't eaten my lunch since I skipped and played video games all day long.
I decided to go drive thru, and bought myself, burger and fries. In a minute or less I arrived at the house.
I went inside to see Ryland's unfinish business scattered on the floor.
So I have to clean this up?!?
I placed the burger and fries on the kitchen, and piled up the papers on the table.
I went to my room and changed, I took my lunch in the room, and munched the food alone.
I went down the stairs to find the door wide open.
Shit! I didn't close it!
I rushed to the door and locked it. I wiped of a little sweat on my forehead, and plopped down on the couch. I leaned my head back.
Everything has been a mess today.
