I sit on a log, watching the Allied vehicles drive past. The beach invasion was a success. We did our part and they did theirs.
I hear the beaches are covered in vehicles and medical tents.
I eat some vegetables from my rations and wait for orders.
A soldier approaches me and says, "We're moving out."

I regroup with my unit. I see Sam and a few others that I recognize from the previous battle.
I walk up to Sam. "Where's Tyler Dawson?" I ask.
He turns to me and says in a low voice. "He's MIA (Missing In Action) right now. I'm sorry, Williams."
I take a step back in shock. Well, it could be worse news.
We began to hike South, further into France.
It starts to rain, and the ground begins to get more and more sticky.
There are less trees here and more open field. You can't see anything further than 100 yards.
Suddenly, I hear a bang! with a whistle noise that gets louder and louder within a second. The soldier a few feet from me flys backwards. Machine gun fire starts to erupt from a ways away. Captain Jeff Sparrow yells, "Get down! Get down!"
