Oh shit, why did he say mate!? I looked into his eyes and felt something that I thought I would never feel in a million year, comforted. After that horrible incident, no one comforted me with the loss that I faced. They were all to busy blaming me instead of understanding that I was going through the same thing everyone else was. I spent a month in my room, crying my heart out, receiving smaller and smaller portions everyday, along with different members of the pack coming into my room and beating me until I passed out.
Those were the worst days of my life and I can't believe that after all the abuse, bullying, cruel words, and so much more, that I can still feel comfort in another person. When I look in his eyes I feel fear along with the comfort. I feared for him because why in the world would he be my mate? This has to be a cruel joke from the Moon Goddess. Why would a weakling loner like me be paired with the one person in the world that has to have strong heirs to the Alpha throne? He would definitely want to reject me, and why wouldn't he?
Just look at me! I have skinny bones, a weak body, and barely any physical strength whats-so-ever. Bruises always erupted around my skin, even from the smallest hit a dark purple bruise will erupt, but no one knows how delicate it truly it. It is mostly because they are too busy beating me up, abusing me, emotionally hurting me, or something worse than that. I'm extremely pale, making the bruises even more visible than before. I have always been the runt of the pack, even before the incident. My legs could never catch up to the other werewolves in the pack. Even if I was having an adrenaline rush, I would just be able to catch the tail of the next slowest werewolf. I am actually a wet blanket a lot of the time and that should be obvious for everyone to see. I am a weak, unwanted, worthless, case loss that no sane would would ever want to love, so why should I be granted a mate.
If anything, the Alpha should have immediately rejected me and left. Although, he still stands in front of me , with that look in his eyes. I couldn't define the look, but hell does it scare the crap out of me. It is so intense that I had to look away, but he didn't let me look away for long. He says to the pack doctor, "Will you please give us a moment?" Although his request is polite, there was an authority behind his voice as if silently saying I dare you to say no to me.
The pack doctor looked hesitant and said, "I really must refuse, I must check her status before I leave. With her being out longer than any other werewolf I must insist for a checkup before I can release her into your care."
The Alpha just nodded his head and patiently waited for the doctor to do his checkup. First, he took out all the wires, so that none may be in the way as he did a checkup on me. The pack doctor then proceeded to check other important parts that I wouldn't know how to describe. Although, a few made me giggle, causing a smile to be created on the Alpha's face. The pack doctor then grabbed a stethoscope and began to see how well my heart is doing. A growl erupted from deep inside of the Alpha's throat, halting the doctor with his work for a second, before he proceeded.
After about five minutes the doctor backed away and said, "She seems perfectly fine. She might be a little woozy at times, but should be able to recover. She needs to use he crutches for about a week and then she will be perfectly fine. If she turns into her wolf then her leg would be okay, but only for a couple of hours at a time. Alpha, you are free to move her back to her home and I hope you have a good day." With that, the pack doctor left, leaving me with the Alpha. That fucker will pay for this.
The Alpha turned his eyes towards me, giving me that weird feeling again, before he started walking towards me. I instinctively moved further into the bed, whether the Alpha noticed, I would never know. He just kept walking towards me, never breaking his stride. My heart beat spiked up and I could feeling myself taking shallower breaths as the Alpha kept walking towards me.
