Songs of War: Deviant Path is an AU (alternate universe) in which things don't happen quite as they do in the original series. The most notable difference, you'll find, is that some characters will die sooner than they did in the original series. Some might possibly even live longer than they did originally.
This could even be referred to as a "recreated" version of Songs of War, but I feel that would be somewhat disrespectful to the original work. This is simply an alternate route the story could have hypothetically taken, in which people are gonna die a lot. Lol
