Chapter One

"Hi! I'm Payton Webster, and this is my YouTube channel. In this channel, if you choose to watch is going to be about my socially awkward fails at life..." I type into my laptop. This sounds all too formal but I don't know any other way to really introduce myself, it's not like i'm a superhero or anything i'm just little boring me.

"Payton, are you ready to go?" My mom shouts for me. I then close my laptop and grab my school bag.

"Ready as I'll ever be..." I mumble to myself as I walk down the stairs.

"You look lovely today, i'm sure you'll make friends this year." My mother smiled at me examining my white blouse, black skinny jeans, and sneakers.

"I hate this stupid uniform, really everything either white or royal blue, this is just silly!" I told her and she laughed at me.

"Let's get going , you have a new school to go to!" My mother said in excitement.

I don't really like LA as much and I've only been here for a month. I don't necessarily enjoy hot weather because I don't like wearing stuff that's revealing, and with hot weather you can only take off a certain amount of clothes. I like the rain, I wish we would've move to a place where it rains all the time like Washington, why can't we go to Washington?

"I know you miss your life back in Wisconsin but you know how it's like with your father, I don't want you to be near him and if it means to move somewhere else then..well here we are aren't we." My mother smiled at my sadly as we were in the car.

The car ride was quiet on my way to Los Angeles High School. When we arrived my mother walked in with me and I saw students around the same age as me talking in groups turning and looking at my mom and I.

"You know, it's not too late to move to I don't know Washington." I mumbled to my mother and she just smiled holding the door open for me that leads into the office.

A plump redhead lady smiled at me and handed me my schedule.

"Do you have any notebooks?" The woman asked me kindly and I nodded. She then got up from her desk implying she was going to show me around. After what she implied my mother smiled and left going to her new job as a secretary.

"So my name is Mrs. Dolan, and you can usually find me in the office if would ever to need anything. We do have a school uniform and you're not necessarily violating it but since it's your first day here it would've been alright." She said while looking at me.

"We have a 6 period schedule here and you normally get out at 3:07 pm and on shortened days it's 1:57 pm" She explained as we walked through the hallways.

"Your first period is English with Mr. Soni." She pointed to my schedule and I nodded, she then opened a door that said 302 on it and we walked in.

Inside was a class holding three people in it so far and then the teacher. Mrs. Dolan walked up to an Arabic looking man in his late 30s.

"Hello, I'm Mr. Soni." Mr. Soni smiled at me and I smiled in return.

"I'm Payton.." I quietly introduced myself.

Not long after our introductions it was time to meet my Science teacher Mrs. Kashtan.
