Starlight...(EXO Baekhyun)

Prologue

You were at a café with your boyfriend(not Baekhyun) when he was acting all strange and was quite rude at your presence. But even though you hated it, you still loved him a lot. And it would break your heart to not be with him.

...

"______ah, I think it's about time we go our separate ways. I can't act like I love you anymore. I hope you don't take this the wrong way." He started.

As he said that, your heart punctured through your chest, and you felt the greatest pain of your life. Your eyes were welling up rapidly. But he didn't care. He just stood up and left.

You had no idea what to do and you stayed in the café until they asked you to get out.

Your eyes were swollen and red, and your steps were slow and draggy.

You will never fall in love again, you swore to yourself.

You then walked past a little park, and a street beside it. You climbed over a wall and you ended up in an empty grass field, which used to be a kite flying area, until they closed down.

You always came here whenever you were sad, or when something was bothering you.

But no one knew about this place, and normally it was quieter than a library.

When you first got together with your boyfriend, you had told yourself there was no more reason to come to this place again, but this time, the truth had hit you in the face repeatedly, and you had ended up there again.

You went to find the old tree, where you would always sit, and how the stars would light up, brightening your day no matter how hard it might have been.

You sat at the edge of the tree, and looked up into the dark empty sky.

"Even the stars hate me today..." You thought.

Suddenly, you heard someone climbing over the wall. You ignored it.

But suddenly, a guy came to sit on the opposite side of the tree.

"Even the stars hate me today..." He repeated the exact same line you had uttered a few minutes ago.

Somehow, his voice had reminded you of the real reason you came there.

Your tears soon gave way and you were crying.

The guy heard you crying and looked across the tree, and saw a girl crying, her face drenched.

He walked over to you and sat beside you.

"The stars disappeared.....huh?" He asked, and you nodded.

You wiped your tears off and looked up to see him.

He was a handsome guy who gave you a cute rectangular smile, his eyes sparkling.

"Annyeong! I'm Baekhyun... "

"Oh, I'm ______"

You smiled, and soon you were in a conversation with him.

It eered you into telling him what had happened a few hours ago, and how close you and your boyfriend were.

As you told each word, your eyes kept tearing. But you conrolled your tears from escaping.

"Then today.....he just...." You started, as your tears finally fell.

He patted your back and stroked your hair, making you calm down.

You looked up at him, and realised, he was concerned about you through his own pain.

You smiled through your tears, as his hand flew to your cheek, to wipe your tears.

"Gwenchana, you can let it all out..." He said.

"What about you? Why are you here?" you asked.

"Oh me? I just got dumped by my girlfriend too, she apparently got a guy better than me, and I hope she's happy now." His facial expression changed, and his eyes let out a tear.

You immediately hugged him, as you knew, you knew he was holding in his tears. He was shocked at first, but his hand flew to hug you back.

You met with him everyday, and soon became best friends. One day, he called you.

Baekhyun: Yobuseyo? Ah ______-ah, you wanna go to the old tree today? I have something to tell you.

You: Oh, I can't, I have a lot of homework today...

Like this, everytime he asked you, you had something on and couldn't come.

One day, you decided to ask Baekhyun as it was a free day for you. But he didn't pick up. So you left him a message.

You: Yobuseyo? Baekhyun-ah, I am free today, I can come to the tree today. Let's meet there at 7 o'clock okay? Bye!

Its 7.30 and you're waiting at the old tree, but Baekhyun hasn't arrived.

"I'll wait." You told yourself, as the petals of the tree flowers began falling.

As they did, you realised that everytime you were there, there were no more stars, but you still felt as secure and comforted as before.

You realised, maybe it was Baekhyun.... Even if the stars weren't there, Baekhyun was. He was always there to comfort you, to make you feel safe and secure. He was your starlight.

You watched, as the petals fell in the dark moon-lit sky.

Your relaxed and leaned against the tree, as your hand hit a piece of paper behind you.

It was an envelope. You opened it and read it.

Dear ________-ah,

I had to go back to my home country for a few days as I had to do something. I knew you would come here and read this someday, and I had to tell you that..... _________-ah, I don't care how others had treated you, but I will protect you with my life, and I will be the one you turn to when you're down.

I think.....I fell in love with you....

Will you be mine?

tear fell from your eyes as you read that. You wanted to see him, and tell him....
"Yes, I'll be yours, and you Baekhyun-ah, be mine"

You wanted to hug him so hard he would choke, but he wasn't there beside you.

"Baekhyun-ah? Where are you?" you asked, loud.

Suddenly, you heard someone running towards the tree and you turned around.

It was Baekhyun, drenched in sweat, out of breath.

You faced him and wiped your tears.

You ran to him and hugged him tight, your feet lifting the ground to reach his height.

He hugs you back, and carries you off the ground.

"Baekhyun-ah, "

"_____-ah, neorul choa hae......" (I like you)

"Nado, nado saranghaeyo...." (I love you too)

He held your cheek and pulled your waist onto him, and locked his lips onto yours.

You were so happy, you could feel all the stars reappear, and there was only one Baekhyun and one you in the world, and it was your true love.

"Yah Baekhyun-ah, you're my starlight.... "

"And you're mine...."
