"George?"

"Yeah?"

"What do you think happens when we die?" I ask my boyfriend. He's laying in between my thighs as we both stare up at the stars. I begged him to drive us out to a field so we could go stargazing.

George huffs a laugh. "What makes you ask?"

I continue carding my hands through his fluffy hair. "Do you think we'll find each other in Hell?"

George laughs at that. "What makes you think we're going to Hell?"

I shrug. "I don't know. But I think Satan would be hot so I wouldn't mind suffering for eternity."

"Are you literally going to cheat on me with the fucking devil?"

"Threesomes always exist." I giggle.

I feel George turn his head to the side, then his mouth connects with my inner thigh, his teeth biting down. "I don't care how hot Satan is. You're mine."

I swat at his head. "Number one, don't bite me. Two, you sound like a cringey wattpad boyfriend."

"Don't act like you don't love it."

I smile even though he can't see me. "Seriously though. Do you believe in an afterlife?"

"As long as I'm with you, I don't care where I am."

I scoff. "Ew."

"I'm agnostic. I don't really care what's out there." George says, running his hand up and down my thigh.

"What's that?"

"A person who believes that nothing is known of the existence of God."

I'm about to speak, but George shoots up from in between my legs and points into the sky. "Shooting star!"

I look to where he's pointing, watching the little spec in the air fly across until we can't see it anymore.

"Beautiful." I mumble under my breath, the. turn to George. "Don't say any stupid bullshit."

He chuckles. "I won't." He smiles, then falls back between my thighs.

Time passes as George and I stay silent, staring up into the sky.

"If God is real, I wonder what he's doing right now." I think aloud.

"He's probably getting laid." George laughs. I can hear his smile as he speaks.

"Literally by who? Who else is up there?"

"I honestly have no idea." George chuckles.

George and I lay in bed, continuing our talking from earlier before. This time, we're high as fuck.

"If God is so good, how come there are bad people in this world?"

"Do I look like a bible teacher to you?" I chuckle, rubbing my eyes.

"Think about it. Why do bad people get off the hook when good people have to suffer?"

"George, I don't know any of this. Quite frankly, I don't care what God thinks about me. I myself know that I'm a good person and that's all that matters. I don't care what some dead dude had to write about."

George rolls over to face me, resting his head on his hand. "Sky daddy won't appreciate that."

"Well then. Sucks to be him."
