brylee woke to the sound of incessant chattering. everything ached all over her body. the head pounded and limbs felt heavy, too heavy for her try and move. she groaned and almost instantly the talking stopped.

she heard the right clicking of heels before someone leaned over her. brylee could barely open her eyes, but she knew that hair from anywhere, after all so many of her friends had spent a decent amount of time in the room brylee figured she was in.

"ugh, what happened?" brylee managed to say, her voice raspy.

but the woman standing beside her shushed her. "quiet dear, you don't want to lose that voice just yet. the headmaster has some questions for you, but i told him—" she turned around to glare at someone behind her "—that you're not ready yet."

"who—"

"oh, i'm madam pomfrey and you're at hogwarts, dear. fell right out of the sky, you did. lucky mr. black and mr. potter caught you, otherwise heavens know what would've happened to you."

brylee groaned again. her head was pounding but her eyes were wide open. the world spun as four boys came into view from her left. they all looked so familiar but with her constant headaches, brylee couldn't remember who they looked like.

"is she going to be alright, madam pomfrey?" a voice from the back questioned the hogwarts nurse. oh, that voice sounded way too familiar.

"of course, mr. lupin. she just needs some rest is all. she will be just fine." the nurse reassured the boy.

there were dancing black spots in her vision now. but brylee managed to croak out a quiet "dad?" right before she blacked out again.

the hospital wing was empty when brylee woke up again. no headaches or body pain this time. it didn't feel like someone was constantly pounding her head with a hammer. she pulled up herself up and sat up in the bed, with her back against the metal rails of the bed. the hospital wing was surprisingly empty and quiet. brylee expected more people there.

but she was glad for the silence. she finally had time to think. the last time she woke, brylee tried to remember, what had happened? the last thing she could remember . . . oh! the time turner and madam pomfrey and falling out of the sky.

suddenly the doors to the hospital wing burst open. brylee barely had time to mentally prepare before two boys rushed into the room. two more of them stumbled behind them. they all looked so familiar and brylee could've sworn she'd seen them before.
