CHAPTER TWO

Her vision was blurred by the tears that threatened to fall but she didn't stop it

But she just left was the only thing she could say

It turns out that aunty Zara had an accident on her way back home and now she's in ICU while baby Hanan her daughter was injured not badly though

She crashed to the floor crying her eyeballs out hoping it's all a dream and when she wakes up they'll tell her that everything is alright and that her sister went home safely but no one told her that

Her mother helped her up and they went to the hospital after washing her face, the marriage talk forgotten

She was taken in for operation when they came they saw her husband who looked like he's been crying since because of his bloodshot eyes
Their attention turned to the doctor that came out of the operation room looking sad

What's the matter asked all of them at the same time
Zaish would have laughed if it's a normal occasion so she just let it go

She's badly hurt and now we're trying our best to operate the glass that is in her brain so we need time to do that because it's a really risky job he said before leaving with a nurse trailing behind him

By know all the family members have arrived and they're waiting for the operation to be over and hajja yaana ( zaish's mother) is still crying

After five hours of waiting the doctor came out of the operation room with a satisfied look on his face as everyone asked him he smiled and said operation successful and we took her to the VIP ward you can go there and see her but no noise he warned before walking away

Zaish's POV

It's been three days now and she didn't open her eyes after opening it once and I'm really worried because she's my one and only sister and she's like a best friend to me and now here she is between life and death

I was frightened a little bit when a hand touched me but later on happy to see that she is awake I was about to run out to call the doctor when her husband ya Hussain entered and his face widened
He ran to call the doctor when she spoke to me

Zaish. I turned to look at her and she continued

I'm sure that I will leave this world soon but what I want you to do for me is I want you to be strong and take care of mommy I know you're trying but try extra hard and my Hanan I want you to be the one to take care of her
I know am asking alot but you're the only one I can entrust my daughter to because she loves you, how I've wished to see you get married and have your own kids but I can't
Tears rolling down her cheeks and I'm crying like a baby

Promise me she continued that you'll do it and make sure you keep your promise she said with a week smile

That's aunty Zara she smiles at you and tells you that everything is alright even though she's sick

Don't give up on what you love because you look like you're about to and be strong

I'm not strong as you are aunty Zara I managed to say in between my sobs

No you are just promise me

Ok I promise
We were interrupted by the doctor and nurse's voices and the rest of the family members coming in but we were asked to step outside when she started acting weirdly
Soon I heard that kooooooo voice of the machine and my heart skipping a beat when the doctor came out he whispered an I'm sorry we lost her and left

Hearing that ya Hussain started crying hard that all his veins in his head were visible and the hall was soon filled with people crying but the only thing that keeps ringing in my mind was her words to me

Ya Hussain's POV

My world stopped the moment I heard the news and now it's been a week after her death and I still can't believe it I really miss her alot and hope that it's all a prank played
She died two weeks before her birthday and now all my plans to surprise her failed

Zaish has been with Hanan ever since Zara's death
I feel down now and want to follow her
My phone ringtone brought me back to reality as baa Umar my father in-law called

Assalamualaikum baba

Waalaikumsalam warahmatullah

Nda dubdo baba (  good evening)

Klewa slai ( evening)
I really want to talk to you about something very important, come after Isha prayer so that we'll discuss about some issue

Yo ngla (okay ) I'll go inshallah

Hanan is really happy with her aunt zaish and zaish is doing a great job taking care of her

I salamed and entered dad's side and met him in his living room

Hussain come and sit he said after the greetings and just then zaish entered with a tray of snacks,water and drinks greeted me and left
Baa cleared his throat before starting

Hussain you know that you're still our son and we want you to accept the favor we're asking from you

I nodded and replied with inshallah before he continued

We want you to accept it as I said earlier, I don't know how you'll feel but please help us

My face widened and my jaw dropped when I heard what baba said and I couldn't do nor say anything I need more time to think about it I said

Of course take your time and we hope to get a favourable reply from you son

Okay baba I said and left the house not knowing what to do
This is asking alot I mean how is it possible do I really want to or not should I accept it or not

I couldn't sleep later at night as I kept on tossing from one side to the other so I prayed to the almighty to help me in this situation and make it easy for me and all of us I hope it's not a bad idea
