Monday morning came faster than she had expected

Monday morning came faster than she had expected. The girl hadn't really moved since Friday night - she'd been on her bed, completely drugged up for the whole weekend, she hadn't eaten anything, or drank anything, and she didn't really plan on it. The Molly had made her serotonin drop, and had stopped her feeling hungry and thirsty as it normally did.

She didn't want to go to school, her body aching as it tried to heal itself. Her mom had come in once to tell her to get up for school, but Robin hadn't made an effort to move.

Cal had ended up going into her room, per her mothers request. He still felt so guilty about what he had done, so had ended up letting her stay home. That was in her best interest, as well as Cal's, who had been called in due to the bruises being found on Maddy's neck.

However, due to her being a woman in the Jacobs household, as well as Nate's sister, she had been called into the station to answer a couple of questions. This led to her applying as much foundation to her arms and legs as possible in hopes of covering any bruises Cal managed to leave. She'd been lucky enough to not get any bruising on her face.

She covered herself up and rode her bike there, seeing greeted by her mother who was waiting outside for her. They didn't speak as they got led into a questioning room. Robin severely uncomfortable by the setting.

She was high off her ass in the middle of a police station.

"So Robin, do you know why you have been brought in today?" The investigator asked her as she stared at her shoes.

"No," She shook her head, "But I have an idea based on what people have been posting on social media from school."

The investigator nodded his head, "We wanted to talk to you about your brother and Miss Perez. You were seen at the carnival to be hanging out with Miss Perez, did you see her and Nate talk at any point?"

"At the beginning, yeah," She nods.

"What did they talk about?" He then asked.

"Uh, he was talking about our outfits," She shrugged, trying to leave out details. Her mother was sat right there, and she knew everything she said would be reported back to Cal.

"Anything in particular?" He asked.

"Just about our outfits," She mumbled, "He had to get back to the stand, for the chilli cook off."

"Okay," The investigator nodded, "Did you see Miss Perez' scene later on in the day at the chilli stand?"

"When she called my mother a cunt?" Robin asked, making her mothers eyes go wide, "Yeah, I walked off before she could finish her speech."

"Why?" He then asked.

"I didn't feel very well." She says, "I'm not good with crowds, social anxiety."

The investigator nods, "Did you see Maddy after that?"

Robin looks to her mother, knowing what she had seen, but didn't know what she could say.

"Um, Yeah," She nodded, "Maddy was alone behind a trailer, and I went over to see if she was okay."

"Did you notice anything on her neck, or any stage behaviour?" The investigator pries, "was she on any form of drug?"

"Um. I don't know about drugs, I didn't see her do anything," She covered for Maddy, "I guess, she was angry, I guessed it was about her scene in front of the stand," Robin shrugs, "I walked away after that."

"You didn't see anyone with her or near her at that time?" She was asked.

"No." She lied.

She was led out of the police station.

The fallout was swift Nate was suspended until the case was closed, and every class in the school was shown like twenty abuse survivor videos. All of which Robin missed, staying at home getting high out of her mind. She no longer cared for academia, she didn't care for college, she didn't care at all. She did her drugs, got too high to think, and fell asleep every day hoping she wouldn't wake up.

The whole Jacobs family had noticed she was acting weirder than normal, Marsha bringing it up. Cal shut her down quickly, lying and saying he had talked to her and that it was all under control.

Truth is, it wasn't under control, and every time Cal went in to try and apologise, Robin was knocked out. Nate even tried to talk to her a couple times, she was never really around to listen.

Over the course of the last five days, Maddy had sent both Nate and Robin a total of 629 text messages - 273 to Nate, 356 to Robin - neither of the siblings had replied to a single one, and its not like she could stop either of them to talk at school.

Maddy kept trying to call Robin, and Robin was never sober enough to answer, completely out of it every time.

Maddy felt awful about what she had said to Robin, she didn't mean a single word of it - she was just angry, and upset, and confused. She said the things she knew would hurt Robin the most, and she was not expecting to be forgiven. It was one of the reasons they were so close - they knew how to hold a grudge, and could bitch about anyone for hours on end.

However bad she felt, however much she hated herself for what she said, she hated herself more for heading towards the motel Nate had texted her. For some stupid reason she thought Robin would be with him, but when he opened the door to just him, she first felt upset to not see her, but then was relieved to be in the arms of Nate Jacobs once more.

Unaware that the girl she truly loved was on her bedroom floor, crying out in pain, unable to move.
