The two girls finally got to the carnival - the car journey there was quiet, but not in an awkward way. It was comfortable, Maddy's hand held onto Robin's. The only time they let go was when Robin checked Maddy's phone for her, seeing Nate had texted her a bunch of times asking where she was.

They were walking around trying to find him, no longer holding hands as they were in such a public space, and they weren't exactly a couple - Maddy was still dating Nate. She didn't exactly feel bad about it either - she found another dudes dick on his phone, their relationship ended in her mind the second she did.

"Where are you?" Maddy asked, phone to her ear, Robin by her side staring at her shoes, "I'm standing by the fucking Ferris wheel. I don't see you." She grabbed Robin's wrist, starting to walk, "Why do you always do this to me?"

"There's two Ferris wheels, maybe he's at the wrong one," Robin said to Maddy who instantly questioned him over the phone, growing more and more annoyed.

"I see him!" Robin told Maddy, shaking her arm before dragging her towards Nate, who finally saw the two of them, an angry look appearing on his face as he looked Maddy up and down.

"Yo, why are you dressed like a hooker?" He asked her angrily, before his eyes fell on Robin - her outfit was definitely not as 'slutty,' her lower half completely covered, but she was wearing a corset as a top.

"What?" Maddy asked, slightly hurt at his words.

"Jesus Christ, Maddy. I'm here with my parents." Nate complained, looking over to Robin, "You think mom and dad are gonna be proud of you for dressing like that, Robin?"

"Shut up, Nate, we look hot," Robin argued back, linking her arm with Maddy, which just made the boy angrier.

"Its a carnival," Maddy also argued.

"No. It's the chilli cook-off," Nate argued back, rolling his eyes - everything revolved around him all the time.

"You think she wants to sit in the shitty booth the whole time?" Robin asked Nate with a look of amusement.

"I can't have you at the booth dressed like that," He said walking past Maddy. He grabbed Robin's upper arm as he did so, dragging her away from Maddy.

"Maybe it'll sell better," Maddy joked, making Nate turn to her, pointing a finger in her face.

"This isn't a fucking joke," He tells her seriously, letting go of Robin.
