"JAVANI, mama said we gotta be in the house before the street lights come on". Kavani said to her younger sister rolling her eyes.

"I know KK we'll be back from the store before then." Javani reminded her as they walked down the side walk of their neighborhood.

"What you want from the store anyways" Kavani asked fixing her friendship bracelet she made with her sister that was hanging around her wrist.

"Ion eat that food at school so i gotta get sum to take" Javani wanted to gag thinking about the nasty food her school tried to feed her.

Kavani just nodded knowing how picky Javani was when it came to her food. "So you finally ready to tell me what boy you like at school?"

Kavani teased bumping shoulders with Javani.

"Um i have to tell you something but you can't tell anybody okay?" Javani expressed a solid facial expression on her face.

"Okay i won't" Kavani said stopping at the top of the street waiting for the cars to pass.

"KK im serious, you have to promise me" Javani said grabbing ahold of Kavani's shoulders turning her body towards her.

Seeing the worried and serious look on her younger sisters face Kavani became more serious. understanding that Javani wasn't playing around.

"Okay Javani, I promise i won't say anything" Kavani replied wanting to know what was so serious about what her sisters was about to confess.

"I-it's not a boy" Javani mumbled and if Kavani wasn't paying close attention to their conversation she would've missed it.
