Children are already protected by thread.

Beyond that, they are connected to stone walls, deployed in a weave that absorbs power with elasticity, so that half-hearted attacks will not cause those defences to collapse.

All that remains is for me and the demon god to kill each other.

'Goaaaaaaaaaaaah!'

The demon god cleaves his sword with a yell. I dodge under the sword strike and counterattack with a flying slash.

Fortunately, the ceiling is low - for the demi-god, that is - so I can't take a swing down attack.

This means that the range of the demigod's attack is narrowed.

For me, it meant it was easier to defend against.

I dodge and jump over sword blows that come at me like a storm from both sides, and use threads to parry them.

While being tossed around like leaves in a tree, I avoided direct hits and repeated counterattacks that only inflicted slight damage.

One hand of thread has already been swept to the children's defence.

The remaining mithril thread is for one hand.

The demons, who can only attack laterally, are monotonous in their attack. It can cope well with only one hand.

Just as I was about to make that decision, the demigod roared.

"Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

With a scream, an invisible force slammed towards me.

The invisible force bounced me off the wall and I was slammed into the wall - and then the sting of the Demon God's pursuit approached me.

I am accustomed to lateral movement, and this thrust is very difficult to avoid.

I turn my body away from the line of attack, but my timing is off for a moment.

I barely deflect the direct hit, clawing at my chest muscles and snapping my ribs.

Damage to vital organs was avoided, but it is now difficult to even breathe properly.

'Gah, gah, gah!'

Vomiting blood, I drop to my knees.

The pain was so intense that I almost felt faint, but if I lost consciousness here, not only me but also my children would not survive.

I thought I could win. The momentary gap created by this carelessness.

The blurring of consciousness, driven by the temptation to beat the enemy in order to buy time.

 This was exploited to perfection.

This was a complete defeat. Even so, I can't give up.

It's not about my survival. In order to keep the children alive, I will buy time.

But my strength is so depleted that even that is no longer possible.

' That means I have no choice but to defeat .......'

You can no longer buy time. With this injury, you probably have a dozen minutes.

There is no chance that Cortina will return with Lyell and the others in that time.

If I die, the children will die too. If this demon god leaves here, even the people in the village will die out.

And a demon god with this much power will be released into the wild.

If that happens, I don't know how many people will die.

Ignoring my hesitation, the Demon God slashes again.

I scold my trembling legs and avoid it by flying sideways. I try to tie a thread around the sword to block its movement, but it is pulled away by force.

'Vaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!'

The demon god releases a shockwave to counterattack. Since it had already been hit once, it was able to avoid it without difficulty.

The timing was difficult to grasp as it was completely different from our magical providence, but I could still afford to duck as I could see where it would fly by its line of sight.

I then twist the string around its neck, but not enough to strangle it.

 But now, somehow, I'm ready.

''Now it's up to me to make up my mind...''

I'm ready - and I'm going to stop. The demon god did not miss that opportunity.

A check thrust was sandwiched between his feet, and then the slash of the side cleave, his main mission.

If you avoid this, it's the same endurance battle as before. But I don't have that kind of time left.

Then, in order to decide the game - I abandoned evasion.

While my right leg is shattered by a check thrust, I pull a large string.

The threads entangled in the sword, the threads entangled in the neck.

I connect it to the thread that was tied to the children's defence.

Sword swung forward and neck connected to it.

The mithril thread is pulled by the demon god himself with the movement of the fishing bottle.

As a result - the demon god's head was dropped by the demon god's own power.

But that doesn't mean the sword loses its momentum.

I connected the thread just in time and had no time to lose.

The huge sword that swung out at me while I was falling shattered my left arm and knocked me to the ceiling.

Then I crashed down beside the children.

The shackles caused by the demonic god's intimidation were broken immediately afterwards.

That doesn't mean I can move immediately.

The children were still rigid and shaking with fear, even pissing their pants.

But a girl rushed to me and tried to hold my wounds.

Having been through many battlefields, I understood that this was a wound that could not be saved.

Still, in order not to worry the girl, I comforted her with my gravelly voice.
