A good day

Sharp Arrow was panting, she needed to find food. But where could she find any? She didn't get any prey sent for a few miles. And she's been walking a few hours, water was also in the question of being found. Hopefully she found some soon or she would die. Sharp Arrow had been walking for who knows how many miles, but she hoped to come across some painted dogs, or antelope. Really anything she could catch alone of eat.

[A couple miles later.]

Sharp Arrow finally found some water. She lapped at it, thirsty from her travels in the hot beating rays of the sun. While she was drinking, she noticed a herd of zebra nearby. Oh how lucky she is, she needed to do this carefully and fast if she wanted something to eat for tonight. She got low and crawled to the herd, fixating her eyes on a pretty weak looking zebra. She would go for that one, it would last her at least 2 days if no one came around and stole her food. She got close to her target, making sure not to be detected. When she was close enough, she sped off latching onto the zebras hind leg while it kicked and neighed, but couldn't release the lionness's grip on its hind leg. The others ran away, leaving the poor thing to its own devices which it already lost. But Sharp Arrow made the death quick, the blood loss made it drowsy and she snapped its neck quick. She finally had some food for her stomach. And would hopefully get to see another day.

[....]

When night fell, she ate most of the zebra and got plenty to drink. She felt like she was living in riches, just less..rich? It didn't matter, she was happy to have some food in her stomach and she could sleep on a full belly without it making grumbling noises, which kept her awake sometimes. She was starting to feel sleepy, and layed down getting comfortable. She looked at the stars, all the stories she'd been told flooded her memory. But she shook her head and layed it down. She closed her eyes and slept peacefully through the night. Hopefully tomorrow will be better than the other days.
