A Tulpa is a thoughtform or pretty much an imaginary friend except the difference is that it is separate from your subconscious. They are independent which means that Tulpas are entities that have emotions, are able to think, have memories, and have their own free will away from the host. Tulpas are a sentient being and should be treated as such. They live within your mind. Tulpas can be anything they want to be; An inanimate object, animals, people, fictional characters, etc. the possibilities are endless. The whole purpose of creating a Tulpa is to have a companion that you can communicate with. There are many ways that you could talk to them (which we'll discuss later).

Tulpas from most stories, real or not, can be deemed dangerous if created improperly. They could act chaotic, violent, and malicious. If possible, they could even become so real that they could cause physical harm. Examples, evil Tulpas considered to be real like The Crooked Man, Slenderman, and Babadook, are Tulpas created from negativity even if it was intended or not.

From research, seeing that they became either horrifyingly real or are nothing more than urban legends, myths, our minds together having the thoughts of these entities existing out of our anxiety, fear, loneliness, dread, etc. is known as an egregore. What is an egregore? It's an autonomous psychic entity that is created by a group of people. Could be good, could be bad. But hey, let's not get into the chaos magic now, eh? Depending on the intentions or how your negative emotions respond, a hostile Tulpa could exist. To me, I hate to think of such an entity. They are not demons or ghosts, remember that. They could take the form of one but aren't actually demons or ghosts.

This is all about Tulpas that are good and why they could be good for you. As I said, they are there to be your friend and be by your side. They are not known to harm the host. Why would they even? Unless you want to think that, then it could potentially happen but don't overthink it. Your imagination is how a Tulpa is created and therefore, it is all about having fun! This type of creative fun of making your Tulpa System is what we call Modern or Western Tulpamancy. This is NOT witchcraft but most others would think it as metaphysical. To me, it depends on how you see it and how you think it with your Tulpas. Our mindsets think differently.

Now the well known Tulpamancy we know that is closed is called Sulpa (from what I gathered but I never found such a word). Let's call it the Original Tulpamancy. This type of practice is closed for reasons. To me, obviously it is because there are deeper steps into creating a Tulpa, especially a godform one. I won't get too invested in talking about that. This mystical practice originated from the 20th-century by Buddhists and it is part of their Tibetan religion. If you want to learn more on this, there is a spiritualist that has a book to cover it all on her experiences named Alexandra David-Néel's Magic and Mystery in Tibet. In her own quotes of understanding Tulpas, they "Are magic formations generated by a powerful concentration of thought."

Tulpamancers. What are they? Am I one? Yes. I have been naturally gifted to create Tulpas. Can you also make Tulpas? Of course! As I said, with concentration and imagination, your mind can create anything, even a Tulpa. Tulpamancers are practitioners that create sentient thoughtforms or imaginary friends. They can create as many as they want. How do they create Tulpas? We will discuss that soon.
