A water bursted out from the mouth of the tall man. "What did you say?" Surprise was painted all over his face.

Joong Ki faked a disgust.

Kwang Soo took a cleaning cloth near him and threw it at the man sitting comfortably on his sofa. "Say it."

Joong Ki swiftly caught the piece of cloth and threw it back at Kwang Soo, "Wipe out your mess first."

Kwang Soo did as he needed and soon seated on the single couch diagonal to Joong Ki. "Noona did not ignore you? Not even try to avoid you?"

"Umm," Jong Ki pressed a thin smile. "She didn't."

Kwang Soo examined his friend thoroughly and when he found the reason to, he grabbed anything near him and threw it at the slightly older man.

Jong Ki did not see that coming, failing to dodge the small control that hit his biceps. He gave his friend a confused look, "What was that for?"

"It does not look good."

"What?"

"You're thinking of intervening in her quite life." Before Joong Ki could even say anything Kwang Soo cut him off. "I could see, you are."

"Am I?" He sincerely asked. He himself wasn't sure why he is approaching Chae Won again.

"Between both of you, I am way closer to you but I would take her side in a heartbeat, all the time." Kwang Soo shook his head as he became more serious. "I'm not sure if you're acting this way because of your unresolved feelings towards her or is it out of pity."

"What do you mean?" Joong Ki could not quite understand what he meant by his last words.

"Are you sure you are not doing this because you felt bad she lost her fiancée?"

Joong Ki furrowed, "No"

Kwang Soo sighed. Among the few, he's one of those who knows Joong Ki best. He knows when Joong Ki is sincere and he knows that his feelings are. Even when Joong Ki stumbled he knew what's truly inside his heart.

The concerned man shook his head in disapproval, "No matter how much I try to see this on the brighter side, it doesn't seem right."

Joong Ki held his silence and chose to hear his friend out first.

"One of you is bound to get hurt but most importantly, her child will be the most affected."

Joong Ki realized what he failed to overlook. Jung Soo would be the most affected, and he is not sure he would like to see that when it happens.

"Noona has a child, and both of you are public figures, are you even confident you'll protect them in the expense of your career?"

He knew he could give an immediate answer but he did not. He doesn't have anything to promise but he has something he wants to prove. If he wants her back he has to work hard for it, and at the same time lose a lot, whatever it is, he certainly don't care at the moment.

Joong Ki's silence was somewhat reassuring for Kwang Soo instead of the contrary. When Joong Ki take silence he knew he is preparing for bigger plans, he knew he'd do it the rightest way he can.

Kwang Soo looked at his friend with utmost conviction, "Just don't hurt noona again."

"There's no assurance to that but I'd make sure it will be all worth it."

Late afternoon at Chae Won's house, Jung Soo was sleeping peacefully on the sofa. Chae Won sat on the floor admiring her son. She smiled fixing his hair.
