Jiwon POV
I can't believe I told Niki his girlfriend threatened me into staying away from him. I have to stop thinking about this. But I can't. I hate this. I hate life. My dad left, my mom had to and I don't know how long my friends will stick around. I hope my brother stays with me for life. Anyway school just got over and I have to hurry home. Oh wait, I forgot, I have a job. I'll go there directly from here.
At the restaurant
Perfect, no one to bother me here, just my work and I. And from there everything went downhill. I saw Niki and Angelica enter the cafe, and panicked. I calmed down in a second and quickly asked my friend Addison to serve them instead. She agreed as I went to another table. The person at that table looked familiar and then I realised, it was one of dad's old friends!
"Mr Smith it's me Yang Jiwon, daughter of Yang Sung-ho! Do you remember me?" I asked him.
"Huh? Oh, Jiwon! How have you been?" He asked
"I'm good! How about you?" I asked
"I'm good as well! Come sit. And don't worry I'll pay for any money you lose." He said
"Oh thank you, but please, do not pay unnecessarily." I requested
"Oh child, ok. How's your father? I haven't heard from him in a long time." He said
"Oh, well, he was in a plane crash as he was coming back from one of his trips, and unfortunately he didn't make it," I said on the verge of tears
"Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't know. Is that why you work this job?" He asked
"I'm fine, thank you for asking. And um, yes that is why I work this job, I need money to pay for college and rent." I said.
"Why don't you come work with me? Sung-ho always said you were super smart, and I feel like the position I have for you is the best for you!" He said
"Really? But only if it isn't too much to ask." I said
"Of course not! Come to this address tomorrow!" He said
"Will do and thank you so much!" I exclaimed
"No problem little one, I ought to go, have a good day, bye~" He said
"Good day to you too!' I said back
I continued with my day. Niki and Angelica noticed me and called me over to talk. It was boring, but some of the things Angelica said rang in my mind for the whole day.
Later that day
I felt lonely so I called Nayeon over to talk. I told her everything. From Niki asking me why I cried to Angelica's words. She helped me a lot. But then the words Angelica had said rang so bad I went to the kitchen to get a pocket knife, and to make Nayeon not suspicious, took along some biscuits. I went and sat next to her as we continued the movie we were watching. I later told her I had to get up and had to go pee, but in reality, had this urge to cut myself. And so I did, it calmed me down, but I fainted. I had done quite a lot of cuts on my arms and legs.
Nayeon POV
It's been 15 minutes since Jiwon went into the bathroom. I'm worried now. I took the one spare key to the bathroom she had given to me only, and no one else. And used it to unlock the door. And to my horror and surprise, saw her lying on the floor, with cuts on her arms and legs, and blood all around her. I started crying and knew it had something to do with Niki, so I rang him
Niki and Nayeon's conversation
N-Niki, Na-Nayeon
N-Hello? Nayeon?
Na-N-N-Niki get to J-J-Jiwon's house now
N-Nayeon are you crying and why?
Na-Yes I am, just get here
N-Why?
Na-JUST GET HERE
N-Coming!

Niki POV
Why was Nayeon crying? And Jiwon? Wait did something happen to Jiwon? I have to hurry. I drove as fast as I could and reached her house within 10 minutes. I went upto her house on the 3rd floor and rang the bell. Nayeon opened up, and she was a mess, her hair was messed up and she had been crying hard.
"What happened?" I asked
"Jiwon" She replied
"What happened to her?" I questioned getting worried
"Bathroom. Now." She commanded
She dragged me while I said
"Eww, no Nayeon. Stop, please. Plea-"
My heart froze
The love of my life, was on the floor, cuts all on her arms and legs, with blood all around.
"N-Nayeon how did this happen?" I said crying as I went next to Jiwon and picked her up and put her on the bed
"I-I don't know. She said she needed to go to the toilet and when she didn't come out after 15 minutes, I knew something was wrong. She gave me an extra key, cause she said the lock is very hard to work with and locks up anytime, so using that I opened the door, and saw this." Nayeon finished as she burst into more tears
"Let's take her to the hospital." I said
Nayeon nodded as she grabbed the keys from my hand. I carried Jiwon in my arms as we went down and I got into the passenger seat. Nayeon drove us to the hospital. I prayed that Jiwon would be better soon. We reached there, and we checked Jiwon into a room. The doctor who helped us was called Emma Smith. She was super kind and helped us a lot. Nayeon and I cried as the doctors took Jiwon into the emergency room. A while later the doctor came and told us that she will be okay. We were so relieved, but then asked her, how much time would we need to spend at the hospital as a minimum. She said that a minimum of a week would be required and at home, proper mental health therapy would be required. She then proceeded to introduce us to Jiwon's therapist, named Oliver Smith. He said that he had seen Jiwon earlier today, and that he was an old friend of Jiwon's dad. We knew he would take good care of her so then we left.
"I promised to protect you, but couldn't do this much. Please tell me what's going on Jiwon"
