POV Remus Lupin

Today is my first day at the new school. I'm a little nervous. Hopefully I make new friends.
We moved a lot in the past couple of years but my mom said this time will be the last time. As a result she had to travel a lot and I would be alone often. I don't mind that though. It is not a big difference if she leaves early in the morning and comes back often in the middle of the night or if she goes on a work trip for a week.
A stressful knock pulled me out of my thaughts. " Remus, honey? We have to leave in ten minutes please hurry up." She yelled in a rush. I closed the button of my jeans while left my room on my way to the bathroom. Passing three moving boxes and almost dripping over a cat I entered the bathroom. Brushing my teeth and scrolling a bit through social media, I saw a boy around my age on my for you page playing the bass. It's a part of a series. The 5th part of 'rating the most popular bass lines' *according to UltimateGuitar.com*. He was playing 'the less I know better' a really good song, actually and he also rated it good. (I saw 'noahshinyface' doing this so yea check him out on tiktok)
I finnished brushing my teeth and went downstairs with my bag. 'Mom? I'm ready.' I say tired while I filled my bottle with coffee. She entered the kitchen. 'Oh sweet lord- I told you not to drink so much coffee in the morning' she said while shaking her head amused. 'Atleast take something to eat with you. Coffee without any food is really unhealthy. You can get heartburn from that.' I looked at her for a second just to look away again. 'Yea whatever' I say while grabbing some money. 'I'm sure I can buy something.'

-in the car-

'Okay, I'll be back tomorrow. Are you sure you can take the bus back home though? I can take my break later and pic-' I stopped her 'yes don't worry take your break I'll be fine, promise' she sighs and focused on the street again. Meanwhile I open tiktok again. I look for that boy again I wanna know what else he does. Mainly  there are some TikTok's where he is playing the bass, some really terrible thirst traps with another boy and some fashion or clothing stuff. His style is really nice. Something between skater boy, crunge and street wear I think. I follow him he seems okay. |you follow @padfoot |
At the school mom kissed my cheek. 'Urgh- I told you to stop that' she just smiled and says 'have a great day, good luck and I love you honey' I sigh slightly 'yea yea-thanks love you too-'

-at the school ground-

I enter the building trying to find the office. Some boy walked up too me and smiled. 'Hey, I'm Jimmy! You seem kinda lost can I help you?' I looked him up and down and said cold 'do you know where the office is?' He nods and gives me a sign to follow him. I don't know what it is, but something about him pisses me already of. Maybe it's the fact that he keeps trying to start a conversation that I barely awnser. Almost reaching the office he starts talking about this girl he wants and for the love of god- that boy is a sexist I could throw up about the way he talks about woman. 'Anyway I gotta go' I quickly said entering the office after a short knock, not even waiting for a reply. I pumped into a boy my age. He had brown wavvy hair that that covered the top of his classes. His hair was such a mess, I wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't brushed it in a few days. But as a surprise it fit him and his outfit. 'Sorry' I Say and sit on one of the chairs. 'It's fine don't worry' he smiled and sat next to me. 'I'm James by the way' he said awkwardly smiling. 'Remus' I say already knowing the comments <what a weird name hahaha> or <damn bro wtf did your parents thaught by giving you a weird name like this> but that never happen. ' woahhhh!' He almost yelled earning a couple killer stares. 'That's such a cool name! My best friend also has such a cool name but me? My parents just named me James.' He sighed. He looked at me from the side again.
'Okay mister potter,' says an old lady leaving her own little office next door. 'If something like that happens one more time, you're expelled. For one week.' She sounded strict. He just nodded trying not to burst into laughters any second.
Then she looked at me. 'You must be Mister Lupin...am I right?' I looked at her while James just stared at me in disbelief. 'Yes ma'am.' She smiled at me. 'I already have all your paperwork done. I just get you your lock in passwords and everything you need and then mister Potter will show you the school.' She said without a single emotion. We both just nodded and she entered her office again.
