OMG! I know. I'm not the type of girl who jumps up and down yelling her lungs out, so I hugged Jake so tight that he was about to die. He had tried out for the football team and had made it. I know. Yelling over silly little things. But he wanted to be in a football team since he was 2! I mean, how cute is that. His dad would practice with him since then. And since he has speed, hello! He runs as fast as hell! He's badass for someone so skinny yet so strong. I like him more every moment. When he told me today in seventh period, I was jumping for joy. I'm usually the badass, and look at me now! I'm the one who's being way over dramatic.
"So? Do you wanna go celebrate tonight?"
"Sure! Tell me, what should I wear." I say as we enter our seventh period.
"Well, anything looks good on you, Ari. Wear what you want. It's your choice and you-"
"And it's your celebration. So, any color you want me to wear, or a style, maybe?"
"Well, how's blue?" Are you kidding?! Blue's my second favorite! Jake says I look great on blue. I wonder if it's true...that rhymes!
"Sure! I'm willing to do anything for your celebration."
"Anything?"
"Well not anything, but I'll try."
"How 'bout we start with a little kiss." He pulls me towards him while the teacher still writes on the board. I'm amazed no one has noticed of what's going on. Then, the teacher turns around and we pretend to be writing notes on our journals. She takes the bait and we're amazed she fell for it. I wink at him while he blows a kiss at me. Then, we hear a growl from a few desks away. Karo. Will he ever stop being such a bastard? I rejected him weeks ago and he's still fussing about it. I claimed Jake not him. Such an asshole.

After school, Jake's waiting for me leaning against his car smirking at me as I come closer. When I'm about to hug him, I get pulled away by someone who happens to have shifted. The smell's familiar, but I can't place it. As I hold on to the wolf's back, I see a crowd forming around Jake as he suddenly comes running after me. Whoever is dragging me will be sorry. I don't mean Jake's gonna hurt this wolf, I mean me. I mean, who does that? I'm a Luna now and this wolf just bursts out of nowhere. I keep sniffing at the fur, but I can't place this wolf's smell. He puts me down on the ground while he...he talks!
"I know. You're confused, but this is the only way to get you away from your mate. Call him of-"
"You monster!" I say as I'm about to shift and rip his throat out as he shifts. No. He can't be back. Andrew... Andrew was an old childhood friend. And my first crush. He had stuck by my side when I was going through my best friend's death. She was in a car incident the day she was going to go shopping and I refused. I should've gone with her. We'd be friends right now if it wasn't my stupid idea for her to go to the mall to go pick up our new boots we had ordered but had declined. I wasn't in the mood of going when an hour later, Andrew said Kimi had died in the incident. I felt terrible for refusing to go to pick up our boots. It was my fault she was dead and now, Andrew was back. I felt sad and depressed for the incident was over three years ago. I still felt terrible. She was like the closest thing to me ever since we were little. I had caused so much trouble in her life, I was so ashamed she died because of me and my selfish demeanor. And yet she had still called me her friend. Andrew mourned with me when Kimi died and had thought of Kimi as a sister. She was the best person ever. She was there for us through thick and thin. She was super nice and caring. I shut myself out from the world and yet Andrew and Kimi's family had said it wasn't my fault.
"Okay. I said I'm sorry and everything. Will you please forgive me after stealing you from your mate, or whatever?"
"It's not whatever! He's the mate I chose and he's-"
"Wait! You CHOSE your mate?! That's impossible! Your mate was supposed to appear last week!"
"Shut up! Let me finish! Okay? I chose him because he rejected his mate and I rejected mine after healing him. Okay? He's my mate now."
"You healed him?! Impossible! You're barely sixteen and you can't heal?! It's takes years and mastering to heal someone. How did you do it?"
"I don't know. It just happened. I sort of just...I don't know. After he passed out after being punched to death by my rejected mate, I healed him and his rejected mate is probably going out with my rejected mate. Figures."
"Wow! But how is it that you get a second mate? I mean, once you reject your mate, you don't get another chance. Atleast, I think so..."
"Let's cut the chase, okay? I'm some chosen wolf who has the ability to heal other living beings with my command. Ironic, huh?"
"Cool, but creepy. Cool. So how's it feel like having a second chance of a mate?"
"It feels awesome, really. I thought it was just a myth to have the powers to heal someone after just thinking about it, choosing a second mate and having your eyes change color the night before you shift for the first time. It's amazing to have someone to care for you as much as Jake. He makes me feel special, ya know?"
"Awww! I love you too, bae." Says a calm voice that makes me jump atleast three feet in the air. Then there was chuckling from the same voice. As I turned around to see who was there, Andrew blocked the other being's path. Andrew growled at the other wolf.
"It's okay, Andrew. It's just my mate, Jake." He moved from Jake's path and I saw the most amazing wolf in my life. His eyes were black and blue with his still honey colored fur standing at it's ends. He looked cute with that look. What amazes me is that other wolves can have different eye color without even controling their mood. My eyes change color depending on what I'm thinking and what I'm controling. It's pretty cool, though. Which means I can change eye color to whatever and whenever I want. Pretty cool, right? But when I saw Jake snarling at Andrew, I just felt a shiver go down my back as Jake started getting closer. "Jake, what's wrong?" I asked in a nervous tone that could've broken my voice by now. He was snarling louder everytime Andrew tried to get close to me. What the hell? Something's not right. Why would Jake get mad? Did they know eachother? So many questions flew into my mind as I stared at the now two circling wolves. And I'm right in between. Great! Just great! Why am I always in the wrong place at the wrong time. As I moved away from the battle, Jake lunged at Andrew while he growled to get away from his grasp. I couldn't stand to see the two people I most cared for fight against eachother instead of just explainning themselves. Once Jake was over Andrew, Andrew kicked Jake into a tree with a loud thud. A couple of bones breaking in the process. Then Jake lunged at Andrew with a great force and Andrew flew back as he landed in the ground limping. They were getting weaker as time went on untill I had started feeling pain in my chest. I screamed in pain as I dropped on my knees and the two fighting wolves rushed over to help me. I started seeing black dots everywhere around me as my vision blurred. What's happening? What's going on? As I felt more pain spread across my body, I pulled up my t-shirt to see a red mark on just below my stomach and across. The pain started getting bigger as Andrew tried to calm me down. I flinched at his touch and he sent shivers down my back. But then, my mark got bigger as I inhaled what I thought was my last breath untill a blacked out with a screaming Jake.
