"Rue I dont see why we're at this gas station." The two girls, rue and july stood, admiring the building.
"Because this , my sweet July, is like heaven for drug addicts." Rue smiled sweetly at the girl who watched in awe, "My mum used to say that drugs are the only reason that shes able to deal with me." July said, watching as rues eyes softened at the mention of Julys mum. It had always been a sensitive topic for her, but she was finally coming to terms with it. Rue just grabbed Julys hand and dragged her torwards a ginger guy sitting on a blue sun chair.
"Wassup rue." He said, his voice was raspy and he talked slow.
"hey uhm July go inside there.." Rue shifted, why was she uncomfortable? I looked at rue, then at the ginger guy as i cautiously walked torwards the door. As I pushed the door open I muttered a small hello as I found a boy around my age.
"Fuck you want?" He sternly stared at me, inspecting my face.
"uhm sorry rue just sent me in here.." I avoided eye contact as I felt a big blush form on my cheeks from the hard eye contact
"ohh come in then, rue may be a while."
I smiled gratefully as i sat on the floor beside him.
"So you going to that halloween party tomorow?" He looked away from his phone.
"Uh yeah im going with a few friends" I looked up at him
"Oh who?" He questioned me further
"miles, Elliot and rue, but they wont approve of my costume so i might ditch them" I laughed to myself, abit surprised when he started laughing aswell, his laugh was cute..
"I still dont know your name..?" I asked, smirking as i did so
"and I still dont know yours?"
"July." I said
"Ash." He responded.
After that it was silent. A comfortable silence. I just sat taking pictures, in the corner of !y eye i could see him watching me, yet another blush formed on my cheeks.
I had been getting kinda bored until my phone started vibrating.

As i went to press accept a smiley miles appeared. "Hey babes" I smiled as i set my phone down, "heyy, where are you?" He asked as he observed the background, "oh um rue just brought me here i dont really know." I shrugged as moved the phone to bring ash into view, "oh whos that?" He asked causing ash to lift up his head. "Wassup, im ash." He nodded his head torwards miles, "Oh are you datingg?" Miles teased.
"Nah not yet" Ash smirked torwards me as my mouth went wide open and a blush spread across my cheeks.
"Oh okay i see you july" miles laughed at my state of shock.
After hours of talking to miles and getting to know ash more i checked the time. crap. "Shit i need to go, like right now" i paniced as i gathered all my stuff.
"Oh ok.. Bye july" ash watched as i rushed out the room
"Rue, cmon lets go its almost 5!" I reached to grab her arm but she wouldnt budge.
"nah imma stay here." rue said in a raspy tone, was she high?
"No please rue i cant go alone" I pleaded
"I said no, cmon man just go its not that hard"
I bit my lip trying to stop the tears. As I turned around amd began walking of without sharing goodbyes.
As the sun began to set I walked home with my hands in my pockets. Until I noticed a black jeep following close behind me. "Oh fuck." I murmered as it began to slow down beside me, "Hey july, want a ride?" Nate jacobs said as the window rolled down.
"uh no, the care homes not far from here." I said as I began to walk again
"No, i insist come in!" he smiled as he reached to unlock the door.
I awkwardly nodded as i climbed into the car

"You thirsty?" He kept his eyes fixated on the road.
"uh no. Im good"
"Alright. How have you been? I havent seen you in a while?"
"just been living life yknow. Not much going on."
