I woke up.

Somehow, I awoke in the middle of the garden.

I slapped myself, making sure I wasn't dreaming.

Nope, I wasn't.

I sat up, dazed. I looked at my watch- 05:24. Who would wake that early and bother to move my body in the garden?

Stefi.

However, my suspicions of that girl faded as soon as I saw her body lying a few meters away from me.

Wow, I didn't know she snored that loudly.

I stood up and gasped in surprise. All I could see was - well nothing! White! Everything is white! Something fishy was going on.

I sat back down, and immediately, the garden appeared again. Being the smart girl I am, I looked up.

As I thought, there was a big cloud of mist above me. I gasped in shock. As fast as my legs could carry me, I ran over to Stefi.

"Stefi!" I cried, shaking her. "Wake up!"

Stefi gave a little moan and sat up.

"What- why- where?" Stefi stuttered as she looked around.

"Anni, what kind of prank is this?" Stefi nudged me angrily.

"It is not a prank, I promise! I woke up and saw this!" I pointed at the mist above. "We have to get out of here."

Stefi nodded in agreement.

She walked to the far end of the garden, searching for clues. I was about to follow her when she suddenly screamed. I hurried over to Stefi. Her head was bowed and her hands were around herself.

"Stefi? Are you all right?" I whispered anxiously. I reached out to her and she flinched.

"Hurt... bleeding..." she mumbled. "Invisible barrier... don't go..."

With that, Stefi flopped over. Her lifeless body looked horrid, but I had to keep cool. I was stuck in this unknown place, with whatever cloud of mist above me and an invisible barrier. Now that Stefi is no help, I will have to get us out of here alone.
