Claire's pov:

When me and Amelia were walking back to the palace. We saw Arthur and there father playing fencing. I looked over to Amelia who looked a bit sad and let a tear fall. "Hey come on don't cry on your birthday". I said why nudging her a little bit. Amelia quickly wiped her tear and smiled at me. I opened the door for her and grab hold of the baskets in her hand. "Why don't you go and get ready for your party". I say as we both walk in the palace. Amelia nods and run off to her room.

Amelia's pov:

I quickly make my way up to my room and close the door. After I close the door I start to cry. I went and sat down on the chair I front of the mirror. I looked at myself a looked horrible my eyes all puffy and my cheek's red. After a few minutes of crying I Heard the door handle juggle. I quickly wiped my tears and fixed my dress. Just as I finished my brother Arthur walked in my room he was wearing a cream suit with a dark blue jacket. "Come on the party is about to start".He said and closed the door. I quickly got changed into baby blue dress and put a matching pair of long gloves on. I put on a necklace and headed out to the dining room. Where I found me Arthur,mom,dad and one off there friends 
lord Melbourne. He came to over and shook my hand. "God haven't you grown". I let out a fake little laugh. To be honest I kinda unsafe when Lord Melbourne is here. Then I see everyone stand up. And I heard lots of people enter the place. As the the party was getting started. I kept looking for the person I wanted to be here the most. "Excuse me". I said while pushing past people. I made it to the doors. And there he was. "Thomas". I shouted running into his arms. "Hey I was only gone a few hours". He said chuckling.
I quickly pulled him into the ballroom and started dancing.while I was staring into his green eyes I hear people whispering I shouldn't be dancing with him. I quickly turned around and saw my mom she looked so disgusting and disappointed. When I turn back around Thomas was gone
