"I honestly don't think this is a good idea!" Jisoo put her hand on Jennie's shoulder.

"Would you quit being a baby?!" Jennie asked.

Rosie shoved Jisoo's arm playfully, "It'll be fun." She smirked, making Jisoo more scared.

"I'm agreeing with Jisoo on this one." Lisa held onto Jisoo's arm looking like a cat that was in a dark corner, alone.

The three girls were standing at the gate of the old abandoned house that no one in their town dared to enter. This wasn't just any house though; the house was claimed to be haunted by the ghosts of the Adams family. That's what the street was named after, the Adams family that refused to leave their house during the First World War. They locked themselves in the dark home and starved to death. The myth is that they still try and protect their house today...
... but as ghosts.

"You know what! You can get yourselves killed. I'm leaving!" Jisoo turned around and walked away from the three girls.

"Ugh! She's always such a fun sucker!" Jennie moaned.

"Are you going with her?" Rosie looked at Lisa, who was now clinging to her arm.

"Come on, you're not going to be a tot too?" Jennie bit her lower lip, "Are you?"

Lisa held tighter onto Rosie's arm.

"Leave her, Jen." Rosie rolled her eyes, "You can go too if you really want-"

Rosie got cut off by the sound of rustling just around the corner.

"Shhhh," Jennie put her finger on her mouth with a grin.

She loved whenever there was action. It got her adrenaline going.

"I can't die yet." Lisa whispered, "We're only seventeen."

"Would you shut up!" Rosie shout-whispered to both of them.

She slowly picked up a long stick she had her eye on since they arrived at the front gate. The noise got louder, and they could now hear faint voices.

Rosie noticed a shadow, and when it finally came around the corner she took a big swing of the stick.

The figure bent down and winced in pain.

It was a human?

Rosie dropped the stick and covered her mouth with both her hands, "Oh my gosh! I'm sorry."

"Yah, Kook, you OK?" another man came out from where the man Rosie just hit come from.

"Yep!" He was still bending down with his arms wrapped around his stomach, "Who the fuck carries around a stick!" His voice was raspy from the pain.

Rosie felt offended. It was defense, self-defense. Her dad taught her because of the world we live in today.

"I thought you were a ghost." She snapped back.

He slowly started to straighten out his body, "Yeah, and a stick will go through a bloody ghost Einstein!"

Rosie was about to fight back, but Jennie put her hand over Rosie's mouth before she could say anything more.

"I'm Jennie," Jennie held out her hand- that wasn't covering Rosie's mouth, "This is Rosie and Lisa. Are you, by any chance, going into the house?"

The two men looked at each other and then back at Jennie.
