Senior Year. They say it's the greatest year you will experience in high school. Getting ready for college, graduation, and of course, prom. I couldn't possibly be more excited for what lies ahead. I've already started preparing my college applications since some start accepting them early September. I'm a try hard, so of course I want to do everything in my power to get into my first choice school. As of this moment, I'm just soaking in the early August sun. It's beautiful, especially here in Dallas, Texas.
My summer could have been even better, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get tickets to see my favorite band in the world play tonight. 5 Seconds of Summer. Words can not describe how much they mean to me and how amazing they are. I remember when I first found out them as I was listening to some All Time Low. It was love at first sight to say the least. More specifically with Luke. I don't think anything could ever make me forget those blues or that cute smile or the sexy lip bite he does.
Even though I don't get to see them tonight, I plan on spending a great day with my boyfriend, Tyler. He's such an amazing guy, and I've been with him for over a year now. He makes me feel like I'm the most special girl on earth and I'm so glad to have him in my life. It surprised me a bit when he first asked me out, considering that he was head of the soccer team and I was just the pretty little face with a brain. And by brain I mean 4.0 GPA and 135 IQ.
It was already 2, but I just got out of the shower. I walked into my room, slipping on the outfit I had laid out on my bed. First my undergarments, of course, then my fitted black capris that came down to just above my knees. I slipped on a long, loose white tube top that reached around my thighs. It was decorated with beautiful blue and violet butterflies towards the lower right, then layered it with a light wash jean vest and topped off the look with some black converse.
As I was pulling my hair into a ponytail, my phone beeped on the dresser. I finished tying it as it cascaded into soft brown brown curls on my back and picked up my phone.
Babe: I'm sorry we can't hang out today baby. Something came up.
I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed as I sighed and replied back.
Me: It's ok. Don't worry bout it. Love you x <3
I slipped my phone into my pocket. Even though he can't come, that doesn't mean I have to stay cooped up. I put on a touch of lipgloss, grabbed my wristlet and put some money in, not bothering to grab my license since I'm just gonna take the bus into town.
I walked outside after kissing my mom on the cheek and took in the sunny summer day, then proceeded to walk down the block to catch the bus just on time. I watched intently as I listened to music, watching the buildings zip by and smiling when we passed the arena where 5SOS would be playing tonight. There were enormous crowds of girls waiting to get inside, from what I could see.
Before I knew it, I was in the heart of Dallas where some of my favorite stores were. I got off the bus and stretched before walking off down the street.
There were a plethora of great sales going on, enough to keep entertained for the entire day.
And that it did. I spent the entire day going in and out of stores. My arms were lined with bags, containing 5 new tops, 3 pairs of shorts, some sandals, and a few other things. I glanced at my phone, which was still somehow at 40% after listening to music all day. It was now after 10. That explains why the last store I was in kicked me out. I had let time get away from me, and now that I thought about it, my feet were a bit tired. I headed over to the bus stop when my music stopped and my phone started buzzing. It was Tyler, but why would he be calling so late.
