Hollow sounds of boots
Moonlight falling around him
Home seems nowhere nearAll Jonathan sees is war. Conflict is around every corner and facing reality isn't real. He sees monsters that don't exist, and when they can be seen no one believes him.
He walks down the street. He has no home anymore. He was so frightened of it Jonathan's sister sold it and used the money to send Jonathan to rehabilitation. Jonathan thought he was taken and everyone was an enemy. He filled them with lies and got out. 'Staying loyal to his country' meant doing anything to not cause harm to America. And he would do anything to protect it, or at least doing what he thinks is protecting.
Walking down the road, he sees the natives, huddles into corners, waiting for the bombs to go away. He hears them crash around him, and he longs to be like Captain America and make them all go away, but he knows he has to find the source.
The cans falling down to the cobblestone street are from a restaurant upstairs, discarding them from the kitchen. Later in the day someone serving community service will pick them up. This cycle has been going on for a while.
A bomb crashed near Jonathan. He screams into his walkie talkie, "Scotty! Scotty! The enemy is coming closer! Do you read? Scotty!" He yells in a desperate attempt to reach him. He ducks under one of the villagers canopies.
Some people walking by looking at Jonathan. They wonder what's happening, and if it's a threat to them, but they continue walking like nothing is wrong. Children stare as the parents try to tell them it's rude.
The 'walkie talkie' is actually an old disposable cellphone. It has no more minutes and is virtually useless. Unless you are Lieutenant Higgings, and if you are, everything is useful.
