I woke up early the next morning, probably because we fell asleep quite early. I reached out for Lucifer with my hand, but couldn't feel him anywhere on the bed. I didn't find it wired that he wasn't there. I had completely forgotten about taking off his handcuffs and therefore thought I knew he would max be about 20 meters away from me. I went back to sleep, but as time passed, Lucifer still hadn't returned to bed. I sat up in the bed, still naked, looking around: my clothes were scattered around the room – his clothes were gone - and the bed we were sleeping on was slightly wrecked - the sheets were torn, and there were feathers from the pillows everywhere. Lucifer was nowhere to be found in the room. I got out of bed, wanting to take my dress back on, but when I lifted it I saw the handcuffs. I stood still for a few moments, thinking. Lucifer wouldn't run away... would he? Before looking any further into the case I put on my dress and underwear. I walked out to the hallway, heading for the bathroom, to see if he could be in there. He wasn't. I walked back to the room and began pacing forth and back, panicking. Was he really gone?

I looked up at the clock seeing it was only 5:15 and Henry wouldn't come to the room before 6:30. I packed the room up, scooping the feathers under the bed and covered the torn sheets with the duvet. I packed my stuff, including the handcuffs, and then sat down on the bed, waiting for Lucifer to come back.

He didn't. I had been sitting on the bed for almost an hour and I was on the verge of crying before I decided I had to come up with a new solution. I jumped out the window. If Henry and the others came to our room and saw that I was the only one there, I wouldn't know how to explain my situation. If I jumped out the window, they would have to explain it themselves and my guess was that they would conclude that Lucifer had abducted me or something. We were on the first floor, so there wasn't far to the ground. I had put my hair up and put a white jacket on. I definitely stood out, but white was all I owned.

I began walking down the street, very unsure of where I was going. I didn't have a fully conceived plan, but I knew I had to find Lucifer and convince him to come back. My first plan, however, was that I couldn't stay too close to the hotel where others were staying at. If they found me I will most differently be the second angel who is thrown out of heaven and I will probably be thrown straight to hell. The streets were not empty. They were filled with busy people in business suits and in the ghettos there were either people with black and pink hair or people who looked homeless. I wanted to give them money, but I didn't have any. People were looking at me weirdly and it made me realise that I couldn't wear these clothes. I would be remembered by these people and when Ida would ask around for a girl dressed in white, they would most likely remember me.

I began looking around for a clothing store and found, to my surprise, that they were everywhere. My eyes landed on a small thrift shop and I went in. There was an old lady in there, she immediately smiled once I stepped in and I returned it.

"Can I help you with anything, sweetie?" she asked. There were no other customers in the store and I assumed that she didn't get a lot of them.

"Do you exchange clothing?" I asked. I had read that some stores on earth did that.

"We do!" she said excitingly "I will look at your clothes and review the value of it, then you can look around the store and see if there is anything within that price range" she explained. I nodded and threw my back up on the counter. I opened it to reveal all my white clothing.

"You sure like to wear white," she said slightly surprised.

"I used to, but not so much anymore" I answered. She didn't question it any further and started looking at the clothes. She took her time with each item and folded them thoroughly in piles afterwards.
